Also yes, that use of Thunderbolt is absolutely godlike. It did pain me to look up footage of HJMXP getting bodied because he is one of my favouritest Dudleys. ACE EIRIN is a fantastic player though. The number 2 Guile behind Dieminion for me, but perhaps even more useful as a resource for the sheer volume of matches available online against a wide range of opposition players and characters. He's also ludicrously consistent with flash kick - > FADC - > ultra 2 in all manner of situations where he has to hold the focus for varying lengths of time to make sure it connects. It's pretty ridiculous.

Yeah FK FADC U2 is a bitch. Even in training mode on my own with spacing to my advantage I can only get it to connect about 30% of the time. I havnt even attempted it in a match.

If there's one thing that would tempt me away from Guile it's when characters like Rufus and Ryu can seemingly combo into their Ultras on a whim for massive damage.

Found myself muttering the phrase "bitch, I will beat you with a variety of characters" this evening. Ranked at its finest. Little break from C to C, but looking into Guy. His air throw stuff is fun but all his buttons feel really wrong.

Oh I can give lots of Guy tips. I took him from my absolute worst character to one of my favourites in a couple of months, and in that time devoured all the science. His buttons and his jump do feel entirely wrong when you first pick him but it all makes sense in time.

GGs to everyone I played today, particularly IGTerminals and drunken Imp for the longer set that only just ended now. Imp was drunk and many lols were had. Also before that, I made good on this ominous posting:

Oh man, I have delicious new anti-Guile technology with Dudders that I just found out today. Oh boy oh boy, the nonsense I have in store for you good sir.

By doing this:

Ruahahahahaha.

It works on other characters too. The kind of other characters who deserve it. I especially like that particular sequence to set it up as it involves a reset into another reset, which is about as Jellumy as it gets.

On the forum JLM's like, yes yes it's imperative to maintain proper spacing when fighting a zoning character, there are many ways to keep your opponent locked down, and then he signs into XBL and is immediately like gyle pls, I'll give you two resets plus all my meter and as many hugs as you want if you'll just come out of that corner for me so I can press more buttons.

I know some people can't stand CC Asia, but Tough Cookie recently started a series of "Yaoi TV" videos on their YouTube, with the first two basically offering lots of Xian SF goodness...

Oh man, I tried to join your late night lobbies but couldn't. I blame Haggar.

So I played in some lobbies with some randoms, mostly losing. And only one message all night :(

I was mighty, mighty pleased, however, to land my third FADC combo in an actual match. I know you guys have been doing this stuff for years, but whatevs. This time I managed Abel's cross-up j.mk, c.MP, first hit of change of direction, FADC, c.HP, Ultra 1.

I'll put up a video for you all to be not amazed by in the slightest later on if you're lucky.

It's tricky for me because my hands usually wig out when I try to do anything FADC related.

Anyone got Honda tips for me? I love Honda, but a) I'm terrible with him (quelle surprise) b) he seems terrible even without my help

I am also pretty terrible with Abel. I wish I wasn't. He is such a good character. JLM did a good Abel last time I played him and last night I played a terrifying Abel called Blue King NL.

LP headbut is really good anti air? That's a thing? And his neutral jumping HP is really excellent and you can move slightly to the left of right when doing it. His jumping mp is pretty good for jump-ins too; I've had a Honda player consistently beat my Dee Jay slides cleanly with it, though I've never really managed to do it.

Revival has a really strong Honda. He's away beeing grumpy in some next gen threads instead these days though.

Lp headbutt got some kind of sexless buff going into 2013 that made it a better anti air. They significantly enfattened honda's head during it, perhaps.

It was a nice lobby last night, but I am too impatient a man to wait 5 games only to get bodied by jlm so I went and played ranked, which was a horrible decision. I kept getting matched up with some wild ken who had a furiously bad connection and who just could not be trained to stop uppercutting, it was quite frustrating as dropped combo after dropped combo ate a mashed reversal. Awful ranked kens are still a banana skin for me, annoyingly.

I had a mega rough time on ranked last night. To be expected as its pretty much the first time I've gone on for an absolute age. Saw some classic turtley behaviour which was gerrreat, kinda annoying as I was mostly playing as Dudley so it was difficult just to get in.

Also, despite using Quick Match I ended up playing the same guy 5 times in a row, I was mortified as I knew it'd look like I was running back. Bah.

Who else makes up stories in their head about what is going on at the other end of xbla? Like, imagining that the other player is foaming at the mouth somewhere in the world.

I played a little last night, mostly as Gen to get a better feel for his mp, hp, mk x kicks combo. Landed some odd off the wall kicks which cross up meaty and look odd, but mostly by luck rather than any proper setups. I always mess up my followups from hands FADC as Gen as well; cr.lp into nothing.

Didn't get any rage mail but one german man did do a really, really big sigh down his mic after one round.
