Not particularly AE related, but:

At the D.I.C.E awards tonight, SuperBot Entertainment and Sony Santa Monica won Best Fighting Game for PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale. This, sadly, is ironic due to the fact that SuperBot Entertainment and Sony cut ties before the developer could work on any future content. The other nominees were Persona 4 Arena, Soul Calibur V, Tekken Tag Tournament 2 and Street Fighter X Tekken but like our own awards show last year, PlayStation All-Stars came out on top! At this time, we would like to congratulate SuperBot Entertainment for winning such a prestigious award. Maybe this will show that Sony made a huge mistake in letting this developer go.

PSEuphoria

I can't say I'd be rooting for any of the nominees in particular, but I'm generally a bit rubbish at arena brawlers so whatevs.

Ig: we do still play Strekken on occassion. Whilst AE is much better generally, 2v2 is still good fun and it's handy just to have the game available in case people want to give it another chance :P

How dare you, you scoundrel.

Kuma is dropped, silly bear that likes dressing up in ladies clothes. Anyway Yoshi is in absolutely no danger of being anywhere near the top and in fact he is probably lower in the tier structure than Sean, yes that is right lower than Sean even if he is in a different game.

I like Kuma really, he is a lovely cuddly bear and anyway I always make him bottom tier :)

Yes, indeed - not sure what happened at the end there but when the lobby died I took it as a sign that I should actually go and make that dinner I'd been promising to make for the last two hours. My highlight was not losing every single game, which seemed like a distinct possibility earlier in the session. Oh, and landing three karakusas in a row.

Also enjoyed all the Hakan that random select was dishing out to JLM, and the Dudley vs Ryu at the end. And a bunch of other stuff, but you know, it's hard to remember everything.

I just played a long set against a terrible, terrible player and lost 11-5. I haven't played Ranked for ages and I've completely lost the ability to play against players who don't think. I'd have rounds where I'd perfect him and then foolishly convince myself that he might learn something from them, and then I'd lose again by walking into his constant flurry of THINGS. It was horrible, and I noticed too late that Joffo was online and I could have been fighting him instead. Rubbish.

On the plus side, the games with Imp and Alistarr yesterday were loads of fun and many laughs were had, which more than evens things out. Concluding that every character is bullshit, every character is the least legit character and that Oni's nonsense is some of the finest nonsense in the game were some of the highlights. Beast mode Alistarr's Dudley was a joy to behold as well. Pick up Dudders with me Alistarr, team Jellistarr will be unstoppable against everyone who has a faulty medium kick button.

FF x SF?

Tobal No. 3?

The Bouncer vs Final Fight?

SFIV XIII 2?

I'll pay for any game that lets me dragon punch spiky-haired emos riddled with teen angst syndrome. :P

I upgraded my phone today, to a Nokia Lumia 820. It's a Windows Phone phone and it has an Xbox app that can track friend activity. Maybe it'll make me more aware of any streetfightin' going down :D

Joffo and I played our tournament match. It was a real nail-biter, but I just squeaked it 5-4 in the end. By the end I was dropping so many combos. Goddamn, properly nerve wracking. Oh also sorry for suddenly disappearing Donut & Qazi, I need to do things which don't involve pressing Sanwa buttons unfortunately.

I was expecting a more thorough beasting from imp, especially since I lost the opening round with a perfect, so I am happy with that final result. Some thoroughly tense games and ridiculously consistent links from the dapper young chap himself. I also saw wreck It Ralph last night. There were Street Fighter bits.

I like little tiny arms dealer Sagat and tech support Dee Jay the best. Really captured the essence of those characters. Also the merging of Charlie and Blanka into one character.

Gief is portrayed as a blindly loyal naive idiot with a heart of gold in that film anyway, so I still see him is a good guy.

In other news, RMZ has recently relocated to Leeds and will be at future Sunday Face Off events. This is good news. Is anyone fighting on this dreary Sunday afternoon?
