Ultra Street Fighter IV

The best tat I ever had was an Atari 2600 multi-cart selector thing. Basically a retail display thing which housed a 2600, two joysticks and something like 32 cartridges, selectable from an LED thing on the front. All lockable behind perspex. When it arrived, my then missus made it very clear I wouldn't be keeping it. To be fair, it was huge. It cost me 6 quid. I did a swap with a mate for about 150 quids worth of stuff. A collector in the US offered him over a grand for it last year.

I had a multi mega and offloaded that to the same mate when I was desperate for cash. Yeah he's had some good stuff off me. I've still got tons of pointless stuff sitting around collecting dust. Would love that Atari thing back mind.

I had a Debug Xbox at one point too. A friend gave it to me because his chipped Xbox was more useful. I passed it on for the same reason.

Hmm... also over the years:

'This is Cool' Saturn. They weren't lying, it was pretty fucking cool.

My mate ebayed his Super Famicom Bomberman multitap for a few hundred quid a few years back IIRC.

I know the guy who used to supply all of the big import shops (CEX / Raven Games etc) with Japanese stuff and managed to acquire this back in 1998 for absolutely nothing.

The SuperGrafx is such a cool looking machine!

I have a white Japanese Anniversary Xbox that has my name and Gamertag engraved on it (because I couldn't think of anything cool). I'm not proud of it, I'm also stuck with the fucker, unless I sell my identity with it.

I like your plushy Bomberman, not that is quality tat and nearly as good as this

My daughters have been able to look at my Kitty but not touch. They have their own Kitties for playing with and Chun Li is mine. I so want the Bison Kitty. I am terminaly sad :(

Though I am keeping the mega thread on topic.

Keep hold of it, it'll only go up in value!

Man, I was sooo close to getting a 3D0 just for Super Turbo. Luckily I got to try the pad out on a demo unit first.. and... no. Was the official Capcom pad any better?

This was probably my first arcade stick:

It was awful, even back then. But it was the best thing you could get until Hori came along.

Things:

That Atari 2600 multitap thing Camel described made my little heart sing. It sounds amazing.

Super Turbo on the 3DO was genuinely brilliant. Possibly the best console version of SF I'd ever played before IV. That could be my memory from the time hugely distorted by all the L skins of hash and orange bud though.

I remember seeing pictures of the Score Master stick and wanting one madly. It still looks excellent!

I don't think I'm ever going to stop playing Skyrim again. :(

Yeah, the 3DO version of ST was the better version when it released, the PS1 version wasn't great. The Saturn version came along some time later. Dat pad, and dem Hori SS sticks!

I missed out on the 2600, but a friend had one. We used to hammer Combat. Pac Man, not so much. I had a hand-me-down Binatone pong clone thing from my cousin. I caned the arse off it.

I've largely got rid of all my old videogame stuff. When I had it I didn't really have a huge amount of genuine useless tat, although I do have a Big the Cat action figure. Froggy is escaping with the aid of a VW camper.

Other things like the Dreamcast Guide to the Internet don't really require keeping either...

I still have that too  And 2 VMUs. I don't even have a Dreamcast any more. Also, someone got me Big the Cat for my birthday once. I hated Big the Cat and he knew I hated him too. I seem to have lost it though, thankfully.

I also have the Parappa the Rapper soundtrack. It's got the lyrics for every single song in the game (not just the stages).

And these:

Managed to offload my long-dead Panasonic Q last year for £100 too, which was handy. Worst build quality ever. A couple of friends also had ones that died in the same manner.

I've probably got too much SF related tat to mention really. Although I will mention the Gamest Mook DVD I've got, it has a bunch of wildly outdated Super Turbo combos and strategies and a 1 credit playthrough of Final Fight (aka Street Fighter '89). I tried to watch it once but gave up after 5 minutes. So dull.

And yeah, GGs. I like the way Jellum waltzed off before I had a chance to get into his head. IgTerminals was starting to download Makoto too, I think.

Excellent stuff in here :D

I've got the De La Soul Parappa vinyl picture disc.

Oh, yep - I've got that too :D

Also!

Nice as it is, I'd totally prefer this instead:

Lovely stuff. Every few months or so I lurk about the Assembler Forums because I like to see some weird old shit and it's cool that some of you have a wee collection of that too. The "This is Cool" Saturn is just ludicrous, never seen that boy before.
