Ultra Street Fighter IV

The playtime does indeed count your time idling in menus; I used to leave the game on the main menu while playing music through the xbox guide, so my "true" play time is probably a fair bit less than it says. Still a disgusting number of hours, though. I remember back in the day thinking that there's no way I'd ever play another game for so long when I saw the Pokemon Red clock tick over 100 hours.

I'll have to do my stat dump later when I get home. Is it AE character stats only? I need to check how many characters I have left to get to B rank in ye olde Super. I've been on Seth for almost six months because everyone plays AE.

Oh, and over the past couple of days every time someone went on about the new My Bloody Valentine album I, for whatever reason, thought they were all getting excited about a new My Chemical Romance album. I was consistently surprised at all these people I know coming out as big My Chemical Romance fans.

I only listen to the same Tom Waits album over and over.

Oh god. Yes. :(

I'm hoping it would be considerably less, as I gave up on IV not long after it came out and went back to HDR for a bit.

Most of yesterday was spent absorbing the new MBV album. Oh my. I did see quite a few people on the internet getting a bit upset because it wasn't Loveless. Surely that's the point, right?

I actually think my total playtime figure is greater than the one saved, since I very often load up the game, mess around in training mode for anywhere between 15 and 45 minutes, and turn the game off without quitting to a menu or doing something that would prompt an autosave. Still, I am too scared to check the xbox right now, and unable to check the PS3 version.

In a very clever, well thought out move last night, Choo pointed out that Strekken was on sale for £10 on steam, and the character pack was on sale for £3.75.

To my shame I bought it.

To my chagrin the 2013 patch isn't out yet.

Sigh.

Yep, time spent in arcades from '91 onwards, the sessions with friends on the console versions. Eep. Didn't really start playing 3S until about 2002/3, but ST would quite easily smash any playtime record I have for AE. The only other games that would come even remotely close to that are probably Quake 2/3 and the Mario Karts.

Haha, I'm so tempted by that as well but haven't bought it yet, despite the fact that I like the game so much that I still haven't even bothered to get the Xbox copy from the shelf on the other side of the room and put it in my Xbox to see what it's like post-patch.

Oh, hey, it looks like the Trocadero HMV is probably going to be closed. Does this mean that gamerbase is going to go as well, and that winner stays on might have to go somewhere else?

worstgief ever and the WSO twitter both seem to think so. Oh dear.

Shit, and the manchester one too.

There goes the uk competitive scene.

The best way to play against donut with sagat is to spend one round just wildly throwing tiger shots the whole time, and then the next round using nothing but hard kick to stop him when he jumps over the tiger shots you are no longer throwing, becuase he kept jumping over them earlier.

Should it go to a third round just mash on uppercut/knee depending on which button you flail on first.

Nobody has played more Street Fighter today than Alistarr. I am proud/envious. I wasted precious lunchbreak time playing some Strekken trials. God I love trials.

I have played a reasonable amount of Street Fighter today, it's true! Fortunately there is still some time left in the day to play some more.

This was probably the highlight:

Can't be bothered typing all those out, but the only characters I haven't got to B rank in ye olde SSFIV are Juri, Dhalsim, El Fuerte, Abel (surprised at that, thought I'd done him), Seth, Gouken and Adon. I reckon there's still time to do it!
