I'm pretty sure Rufus' close standing medium punch links to crouching medium kick, but I always fail. I also always fail Bob's links too, something like cr.lp, cr.lp, cr.hp x whatever. I'm sure it's no more difficult than yer average link, but still. Blah.

I will have a bit of time this afternoon, probably just after 4, for Strekking. I quite like that I'm a bit rubbish at it.

And yes! I got three Pandora KOs last night! I was very, very deliberately going for it though (and lost more rounds than I won trying it) and they weren't properly linked from anything but it's great anyway. I need to set some fierce Pandora gems.

I can't remember if I bought Blanka or not for Strekken, that's how much it enthused me. Boo to Strekken.

How about AE - are we really getting an AE:2013 patch or is that just wishful thinking? What else is on the horizon? I need a new fighting game thing to obsess about and then play Street Fighter instead once I've got it.

I can Strekken in thirty minutes or so Camel.

Also, the training thwarting problem I had yesterday is that the insanely high winds in Yorkshire managed to blow my sky light inside out, so I had a good couple of hours of it raining directly into my room. Lovely.

JLM lied when he was 17.

I will be around in 30 earth minutes, Jellum, but not sure how long for. Are you gobsmackingly good with the entire cast yet?

Persona 4 is coming, soonish to these there lands.

How soon? I desperately need another fighting game sitting on my dusty shelf.

2013 ish, i.e. there is no release date yet but apparently the EU code is complete, apparently. It is lovely gorgeous looking but there is an awful lot going on and is probably too much for my tiny brain, but Teddy is awesome.

I'll still get persona. I'm a sucker for high res sprites. Or even low res sprites.

Juri can gett so much damage from what is already a very strong anti-air that it very much uspets me. Only jump cancellable on a grounded opponent please. I do like the fanciness of the crossup follow up though.

Anybody keeping an eye on the voting for the 8th game at Evo this year?

At the weekend both Super Smash Bros. Melee and Skullgirls were very close and about $20,000 ahead of anything else. In the last 24 hours someone or some group have donated $32,000 for ST so it's in the mix now too. Right now over $110,000 has been reaised for the breast cancer charity they're sending the money to which is pretty amazing.

Since I'm out of internet at home, I've resorted to competitive gaming on my phone instead. Letterpress: It's absolutely wonderful. Lovely clean presentation, sort-of-combos with plenty of back and forth each round, lots of strategic depth.

Oh also Alistarr, I finished Spec Cops, and the latter half was a lot better, yes. Certainly not as interesting as any of the works that have inspired it, but worth the time I put in I think. It was super heavy handed, but I did enjoy the loading screens in particular.

I like the underlying assumption behind all these articles which is that we're all idiots who are unable to distinguish fact from fiction.

Also, guns are excellent anyway. I wildly shot an AK47 for a bit once, and I felt like a big man, which is pretty conclusive proof that we should all be allowed to own guns and shoot guns.

But we mostly are idiots who are unable to separate fact from fiction. That's the thing.

I'm going to see about firing a gun in a firing range in Texas next month, so I can say I've done it. I'm bloody terrified of it though, so I probably won't. I will eat a lot of barbacoa tacos though.

I did that when I was out there. It was excellent fun! They just give you a gun! And let you shoot the gun! And trust you not to just murder everyone. I was genuinely quite wildly shocked by this. Then they ask if you'd like to buy a gun, but you can't because you're a filthy foreigner and can't be trusted. Also, I didn't try this, but I'm pretty sure that the best time to have a conversation about how realistically the second amendment applies to today's society is while you're standing in a gun range with a gun in your hand shooting the gun.

Then afterwards you can go and get smash burger!
