At least you've been playing something. I'm on a course in the Leeds "practicing" on a Fightstick that I bought in a shady deal that went down in the train station. I should be revising. I'm currently revising plinking, pianoing and endless 360s.

Edit: also, the graphics are fuckin' terrible.

I agree though, she would be a cool addition to the cast. Mainly I'd just like to see someone win a big tourney match with her bum-bash move and we could test to see if a million stream monsters typing DAT ASS can actually melt the internet. By the way IgTerminals, is your gamertag the very same? Must have missed when you posted, let's fight sometime.

GGs to nuskool this evening. My highlight was focus-taunting through a fireball, although the next one hit me in the face and kind of spoilt the moment. Also a connection error just as I'd landed Dudley's Ultra for the win made me look like an arse.

R.Mika is Elf's favourite wrestler, he even has a pinny with her on the front. Though I really want more bears in the game to be honest.

I just tried the error1 patch with a few CPU Vs CPU matches and it all looked lovely and silly but Yang seemed to constantly do a wierd dive kick that stunned the opponent and then counted as an Ultra, weird broken tier :)

Oops. My mistake. For some reason I often forget/ get confused with Alpha cast. I even remember EX cast better than Alpha. Go figure.

IgTerminals, here are the posts that kickstart discussion of the tournament we're trying to finish at the moment. There'll probably be something similar along again as soon as anyone wants to organise it. The bracket will show what's left to be played, and you can see videos of a bunch of the matches here: http://www.youtube.c...1hJz5HjQ/videos

Details:

THE RULES

Double elimination (i.e. there will be a losers bracket also)

Name drawn first has choice of host

All matches FT5. In the unlikely event of a draw (score at 2-2, fifth match goes to the final round and is a double KO) participants to choose between FT2 RoseBall or Dan-off

All replays to be saved. At least three of us (Ploppers, Qazi-ers, now me-ers) have HD capture cards and we should get that ish on YouTube.

Matches can be played any time you like starting NOW. No deadlines per se but if someone's really taking the piss we'll collectively decide to do something about it.

Hurrah!

Tournaments are cool because certain people play totally differently when there's something on the line, even if it's just a place in the next round, and the happiness of victory and sadness of defeat are all the sweeter and saltier respectively.

I done did a bit o'Strekken training. All my combos still work and the only thing I'll have to watch out for is not being able to jump cancel crouching fierce on block with Juri. Other than that I should be grand.

Also I played against Ryan Hart's Akuma a bit on AE and got soundly thrashed.

It was a 5-0 win for Joffles.

I'm fine with FT10 Grand Finals as I am all about the longer sets, but I think the winner of Losers bracket should have more say than me as it would mean they have to win two FT10s in a row to take the whole thing.

Well, I now have no internet whatsoever at home. Cool. If it isn't back by Sunday, I'm happy to concede to rallychamp as I've been holding this tournament up for long enough.

Also I reckon FT5 with two clear games is a winning choice for finals.

I might as well have no internet at home at the moment. In fact that'd be less painful. I spent about an hour last night switching things off and on again, swearing at homeplugs, running cables to test a direct connection and kicking kids off the internet before my wife said "Have you checked Virgin's site to see if there's any problems in our area?".
