I'm pretty sure they'll put the new characters on sale within the next few months, seems daft not to. I reckon they might give the full game (minus DLC) away on PS3 as part of PlayStation Plus too.

Well, actually, that's just what I'd do, because it seems sensible. Which means they're thoroughly unlikely to do it.

What about us fat suckers who paid full price?

I'm not actually that bothered. Though I do remember the DLC being relatively steep; is it 1600 points? It seems ludicrous paying for that when I'd used only four of the huge roster so far. And for a fraction of the time I invested in SFIV. A very small fraction.

Strekken lobby tonight then chaps? Assuming Strekken has lobbies - I haven't actually played my copy.

I'll be up for that. Then again if it's anything like our usual Strekken lobbies we'll probably all get bored after 20 minutes and decide to play AE. :P

I don't know if I've got all the costumes. Maybe if they discount those I can get some. Microsoft really need to look into how DLC is displayed online because as soon as there are more than a few items available it's an absolute pain to sort through and make sense of it. Especially when they add in packs containing other DLC you might already own. The in-game menus are rarely any better.

I'm going to spend all night tonight colouring in my men.

Yeah, a guide to which costumes are in which pack would be nice. Is there anywhere online that has that infos?

Does anyone here play SFIV:AE on PC? I do have it on 360 but never get to use "the big telly" because of Coronation Street or kid's programmes.

Oh, I do!

My telly is visciously laggy so I play on PC much more.

Spuckuk on steam/GFWL

I dunno, they still haven't put the AE costume prices down, which just seems bizarre when you consider how wildly expensive they are.

They do little promos from time to time, though. Pretty sure they were all bundled up and discounted for a bit on Steam and PSN quite recently, actually.

I don't mean a perma-pricecut, just a little week-long discount or something. They'll get people coming back to check it out post-patch out of curiosity but the best way to make people want to stick around is to make them spend money on something. In principle, anyway, I paid 1600 space credits for that DLC on day one and have played it for about 45 minutes.

They're knocking the extra characters DLC down to an entirely reasonable 1200 units of Microsoft Virtual Currency for the next week, it would appear. And apprently all the costume packs are getting 25-50% off.

Oh! And Zeno Clash is down to 400 points. I've wanted zeno clash for ages, and this presents me yet another chance to not buy it at all.

I wonder if we should play our matches on the PC Alistarr, if it's not too much trouble for you to switch between regular and AError1 mode. Then I could use some kind of program to record the replays without resorting to a camera or camera phone. And then go to a nice cafe with a reasonably fast internet connection to upload them, because they'd take forever to upload from my house!

And I'll be able to accuse you of using macros when you manage not to drop a single combo!

My laptop is a bit tetchy at the moment to be honest - it keeps interrupting the game to insist on installing 109 Windows updates or whatever following my hard drive incident. I'll see how it goes if I play it again this week, and if it's okay then yes, let's do that, and if it's not then I can just record the matches with my camera again and use my amazing internet to upload them, and you can go to your nice cafe and just enjoy some good food in pleasant surroundings.

Eh-chee-len-tay. Purchased despite knowing I'll probably never use them. Never gonna use them...

£10 to pick Dudley and Elena twice each, fret about bothering to learn their combos, then go back to Rufus/Juri, then go back to AE at the weekend? I'm tempted.

I'll probably get MvC2 instead and resurrect Zangneto/Storm/Sentinel for an evening. That's way more characters-per-microsoft-point.

I'll probably not.

I read your post twice and still don't know what you're resolved to do.
