Oooh. That sounds pretty excellent.

I'd like to get on board with that mod. And I'd like to see some high level wildness from it too; it'll definitely be on a setup somewhere at EVO, right? It's enough to make me want to get a PC. Maybe I'll nag "radlord" til he gets it, since I gifted him AE on steam. Then I'll sit at his PC desk wilding on all the buttons in silence other than occasionally accepting offers of a cup of tea.

Gah, now I want to play Abel again :D I had great fun with him back in Vanilla before everyone suddenly got good, but these days my execution is terrible and I tornado throw thin air when going for COD... :P Oh, and I was hoping for more wheelkick love from J-Lm; despite being pretty unsafe on block it covers good distance, has armour-break properties, works as an anti-air and is hugely satisfying when it connects.

I'd love cosmetic changes and adjustments to menus to make things flow better. A rematch option would be great; system direction nonsense would be a total dream. I don't think we're likely to get things like new stages in a free patch though, and paid DLC would just make things awkward and split again. I guess they could add new characters and whatever minor balance tweaks they feel are needed (basically making Dan's crouching taunt do a tiny bit of damage or safe) and a patch would address the balance for everyone but stop them from selecting the new men?

Maybe they should just do some mega-tweaked and polished version with some new characters and stages and stat tracking/replay sharing for the launch of the next gen consoles. I'd happilly spend yet another console generation playing the exact same game.

New characters would be nice, I imagine they could bring in Elena as the models have already been done and wasn't Rolento talked about for Super?

Personally I'd like to see Q and Sean, just so there could be the oft spoken about Sean Vs Dan showdown.

And I agree with Joffo's chip taunt but it would also have to be added to Duley's rose just for those classy finishes

I'd like Necro, because he's ma man. He'd fare a bit better in a game without Parries, too. Which character styles aren't covered at the moment? Are there any characters from previous Street Fighter games who don't play like someone already there?

I've always quite liked the style of Birdie. All the creepy men suggest Karin as well. I think she's got some counter special, maybe? Alex is kind of different too, so maybe him.

I think I should get pc version, but pc gaming scares me. I don't understand it at all.

I would like to see a 2013 version in theory. I worry that they'll botch it tho. It's so close to being perfectly balanced as it is, it may only take a couple if iffy minor changes to throw the whole thing off. And new characters could achieve the same result quite easily.

I think maybe they should leave well enough alone.

PC gaming in 2013 for beginners:

1. Buy a mid-range PC

2. Install Steam

3. Buy SSF4AE PC

4. Buy a bunch of other games you think look fun

5. Play SSF4AE all day on your Xbox 360

It's really pretty easy, especially if you concentrate on step 5. But even if you insist on actually playing the PC games you've bought it's still pretty easy.

Nah, it's safe vs all shoto reversals. Dp whiffs and you get a free punish. I tried everything I could think of to escape and nothing seemed to work. The setup works on ryu, ken, e ryu, oni and guy.

I played cammy against donut's ryu last night and did it repeatedly and he never managed to get out. It's a bit silly really.

And the problem with them balancing is that they hardly ever seem to know what to do. Like, they did all the location tests for 2012 and that, and people gave feedback, and then the devs apparently ignored loads of the feedback and just incorporated random stuff. Like the utterly ridiculous nerfing of ryu's cr.mk going into AE, fiddling with his ultra 2 though nobody ever uses it, messing around with vega's U2 all the time and revising makoto's health up and then back down. Don't want to end up with another Yun type situation either.

Lots of fun games at Sunday Face Off again today. I found out that if you chip someone out with Akuma's ultra 2 you still get the silver screen explosion and raging demon noise. It's pretty cool.

Next Sunday they're doing a Strekken tournament in honour of v.2013, so I have some serious practising to do.
