haha, i was just about to ask if anyone had subscribed... i'm really drunk and next thing i knew i was subscribed.

Someone needs to update that 10th Anniversary thread with details in the first post... when is it? I'm up for getting drunk with you guys.

Also, I gave imp and Nate some pieces of my mind for playing the PC version like the despicable snobs they are.

Oh man. Latif's Viper vs. Infiltration's Akuma, first to 7 match. Spoilers!

Infiltration took it 7-0, dropping only three rounds. Absolutely destroyed Latif, who didn't look like a shadow of the player who finished 2nd at EVO last year. Nothing seemed to work for him. Be interesting to see if it was a one-off or whether he can actually pull it together for the tourny.

Any SFxT 2013 real match footage yet? I'm interested in seeing how it all flows now.

Working at 7am on a satuday is a dreadful thing. I am tired. If anyone has any spoilered tournament nonsense to post I will appreciate it; I rarely watch these things live. I might watch EVO live this year though; we should all do that while in an xbox party chat, like pals.

I'm pretty excitable to the point of being annoying, though. Because I'm not too much of a stream monster there's still lots of fresh gimmicks for the less used characters that catch me by surprise and make me yelp.

I got a message last night from a linky Sakura player telling me I was the best Makoto he's ever faced. I'm not even the third best Makoto in this thread!

Finally got AE for PC last night thanks to an Imp tipoff and what a disappointment. Only game so far that's run noticeably worse on PC than console. Despite fiddling with settings into the small hours I can only minimise but not eradicate the most terrible screen tearing, and if I turn vsync on it adds a good five or six frames of input lag. Really bummed out as I was looking forward to mad costume mods and that error001 balance hack :(

I don't know anything about PC tweaking, but I did remember reading these posts on neoGAF, so hopefully they help you::

"PC Street Fighters, I just grabbed the game through Steam.

Does the game have massive tearing issues natively for everyone? Because I am getting triple-ugly performance. Enabling V-Sync immediately causes what feels like 10-15 frames of input lag, so that's obviously a fuck-you-game-no-thanks option.

I suspect it might have something to do with playing through my HDTV atm (broke my monitor last week :[ ). I dunno though. I'm curious if the tearing's a common thing that people have just gotten used to, or - especially - if there're workarounds for it.

A lot of the graphical options seem kinda batshit too.

In case it's relevant, running a 7970, managed only through CCC, no MSI Afterburner or similar, D3DO triple-buffering not enabled. Using 'fixed framerate' in-game graphical settings.

Any advices for optimalised PC set-uppery?"

EDIT: Yep. Amazing. Absolute night and day difference, switches the game from nigh-on unplayable to pretty much fine and dandy, and from a third-party application no less. For some reason I was under the impression D3DO was more trouble than it was worth nowadays. Dunno where I got that idea but I guess it's a load of balls!"

Is it as bad as a 38 year old using the Internet to buy a t shirt of a cartoon version of a Mexican wrestler from a child's video game and being very excited and proud when it turned up?

The wife wasn't that impressed :( though then again she thinks I'm obsessed by said child's video game.
