Hey! Streetfighter thread! You're one of our best close knit communities. How about you all come along to this big 10th anniversary of Rllmuk meet?

This was my pitch to the online football thread:

There is a thread in the Meets folder:

There is some talk of having a big old fashioned meet, with lots of people to celebrate Rllmuk turning 10.

In the old days, we'd be able to rustle up 50-100 people or more for a meet. Nowadays, as people have got older, have drifted away from Rllmuk, or see their own set of friends they found through the forum privately, meets are usually much smaller.

So I thought if we could somehow approach each little subculture / group of friends / clique to go, then each of them would want to go because the people they wanted to see would be there. And if we found enough of those groups, we'd have a fun time.

You lot are the first group that sprang to mind.

I don't think any arrangements have been made yet, it's in the planning stages, so now is a good time to chip in.

If we get a critical mass of people from this folder to come, who'd be interested in meeting up?

I got a fright and thought you were coming in to tell us off there.

I probably wouldn't go to a big rllmuk meet as I'm so far away and obese in Glasgow. They're always in London, right? I streetpass scottcr occasionally, so that oughta count for something.

I was talking about rllmuk to someone ages ago and joked that everyone was from London or "the North" (since I'm in the southwest), even though that's a bit of an exaggeration. But hey, I'm hopeless at meets because I either miss the notifications or I miss the train. Or I get lost, or mugged, or killed. Maybe not.

I will be around for fights at some point this weekend I'm sure. :)

I'm further away than you, and I'm going - Edinburgh ting. Didn't realise bath was so far away actually... thought it was in the midlands!

GGs Alistarr. Over 80 straight games there. I could probably go for 80 more but I might actually starve to death. Next time I'll eat lunch before starting the fightings.

Joffo, did you know that when Rufus does the "I'm so cool!" taunt in his zombie outfit, the tassle thing on the front of the hat lands right on his face. To combat this, he blows a little puff of air upwards to remove it. On the snowy railyard you can see this breath manifested in the cold siberian air.

You probably already knew this.

I liked playing against all of you because you guys are the best. Except Donuit, obviously.

I would fix the typo there, but I quite like Lyricalle Donuit as an alternative monicker for you.

For you to eat lunch before starting fightings, it would have had to have been lunchtime before we started fighting, and I'm not sure that was the case. But yes, the G-est of Gs. I have found someone else to keep me company while you are eating and otherwise going about your life, though I fear I may fall asleep before you return.

EDIT: clearly I fell asleep while writing this post. It's in response to one of JLM's halfway up the previous page.

Naw, it's in Bath, right down the road from Edge Towers:

I was going to suggest people come down, actually. I could put up a few people, I expect senor cale could do the same.

I must say I find the thought of going to something like this that isn't just filled with Rllmuk Street Fighter people that I can order 'Mexican' food for utterly terrifying so I doubt I'd go. But I probably could put a couple of folk up if that was a thing.

Some great stuff on stream already. Bren2XT's Rufus is really very good. A cut above all the other American Rufii I've seen aside from Ricky/Justin. He looked very strong on that episode of Excellent Adventures too, despite Gootecks' reservations about him.

Disappointed that Air, Hungbee and Alucard didn't make it out of their pools though. Hungbee in particular managed to overcome the Vega match up once and would have done it again if not for eating a wake up ultra.

I just played as T Hawk in ranked with the ladychum; I was doing the movement, she was pressing the buttons. Bad luck set us up against a B rank Sagat straight away, but we almost took a round when we got a jump in ultra 1. Took a round from a Ryu player afterward, which was satisfying. Basically shouting "stop!" then dashing in and doing wild 360s and then "press!" for, potentially, and SPD. Or maybe a jump back light kick. I'd never know!

Better with Kinect/10.
