I find it's easier to start FADC'ing after something like a dragon punch, then using them in combos (which I still suck at). You need to build it up in pieces. Start by doing the uppercut and holding focus a few times, until you regularly cancel the move into a focus animation, then add in the dash, then add in combos etc and build from there. Take it slow and build things up in small pieces.

Using jellum's example, if you do ryu fireball FADC sweep then don't mash on sweep really hard, as you'll miss. There's plenty of time between doing the dash and the sweep, so you really don't need to hammer buttons that hard at all.

I only started implementing them into my game when I started using a character who needed them (cammy) and just slowly build up. It'll feel like you're not making progress, but then suddenly you'll do what I did last night and land cr.mk x ex fireball FADC ultra without realising that you knew how to do it.

Yes, that's the most beautiful thing, when your muscle memory takes over and you do a combo you hadn't even been practising because your hands have an idea of what you're going for and finish it for you.

That ludicrous 20 hit Oni Combo against Alistarr, I definitely tuned out half way through doing it and rattled off the rest whilst staring vacantly at the screen and hoping it wouldn't drop.

Dan/ryu are certainly among the best people to start picking them up with. Ryu is good because you can just loop from cr.mp x fireball FADC > cr.mp x fireball >FADC forever with infinite meter, which is good training to get the rhythm down, mon.

Camel, I have spent approximately two minutes in training with two thirds of the AH3 cast. I still don't understand exactly what the Arcanas do or how to use Homing Cancels effectively or how to actually play it. I have determined that Zenia Valov will be my main chicken because she is the Dudley-est character I have found so far. She can do punchings cancelled into ducking into more punchings. I like to do this. Failing that I want to use Kira, who is the girl attached to the giant blob thing and is in fact Zangief, but I am aware that grapplers tend to have an absurdly difficult time in anime fighters. She does have a super that requires a 1080 (!!!) input and does about 80% damage to most of the cast though, so landing that in a match might make it all worth while.

Aside from some the embarrassing hentai-ness of it all, there are some fantastic character designs in there with loads of fun mechanics and cool stuff they can do. The girl who can make the grapple hook thingies and swing about on them seems excellent fun in particular.

Guess I was feeling a bit flash after the successful FADC because I don't usually go for flame into super, I usually go the easier route of cancelling into it from the air HP.

Other than that, I played terribly and that continued this afternoon when I played Joffo who knocked me all over the shop.

God I'm so rubbish.

Props on the execution breakthrough Camel. I loved the celebratory jiggle afterwards. I tend to do a big flurry of excited jabs after I do something I was especially pleased with. That is me virtually elbowing you in the ribs and demanding props in a jovial manner.

Also those 'Sim flame into super combos are genuinely tricky and I can't do them with any consistency. You are clearly not rubbish.

I just taunt repeatedly whenever I'm even slightly impressed with myself. That's why I often taunt at the start of a round.

Shame I haven't uploaded the rest of our fights, Jiro, because you were doing an excellent job of street fighting and making me look pretty useless That was my one moment of glory out of all those fights.

I'm not sure it's much of a breakthrough tbh. I've been into training since and still struggle to pull off that FADC combo even once

Tapping forward twice just leaves the weight of my hands in totally the wrong place for me then to do two QCs. I just can't persuade my hands to do it smoothly at all. I'll keep practising I guess.

The sim combo I usually bottle out of. I'm going to attempt it every time I have super from now on though, just to get used to doing it. It is tricky even if Donut makes it look like a piece of cake.

EDIT: And thanks for the games Jiro and Joffo. Apologies for not putting much in my messages and if I appear a bit salty on here, but I'm a bit poorly and I've been using Street Fighter as a distraction. I'm not sure it's doing much for my positive thinking though

I've spent a bit of time learning some combos and stuff with him, amazing the difference it makes, actually being able to do damage. Sorry if I was a bit dry, and for all the tick throws! But yes, Ggs, you ran me close a few times your elf can be pretty hard to escape from when you get going.

Twas good though, playing your Ryu as it is good to practice my mix up properly rather than relying on Propeller Tortilla all the time and I did manage to bait you into my Ultra once but your punishment via FADC was awesome and some lovely setups going on.

Shame I didn't get a game against Qazi but I do fear his Juri, she is mean.
