Good God. Even if I make it out of the first round (not happening) I'm going to get bodied by whoever wins the other group...

Failing that, we could have a spare slot for one of our capture mans to save out the games as they are played.

I was thinking about that too. I could probably show up for a few matches and plop has wild PVR technology too. :) Either that, or we all do ghettocam recordings on our phones...

EDIT: duh, didn't see the rest of Nate's post. Since you can make a playlist of videos from multiple users we probably don't have to have them all on one user account if we can't be arsed with sending huge video files to one another. We could also have an agreed standard for tags to use if anyone wants to search, although that can be worked out later...

EDIT EDIT: then again, isn't there a thing on the "enhanced" replay channel where you can send replay data to others?

I did a quick Google and it suggested that people can save the replays if you invite them to watch, not sure if true but that might be fun.

Oh yeah I considered that too. :) Happy to go with that if someone wants to set it up. :D

So I found a thread on GAF about old usenet posts from long before I had an internet. I'd been led to believe by older geeks than myself that before the likes of us got on it the internet was immeasurably better and a mature, respectful and thoughtful society of like-minded individuals sharing a common interest eg unlocking Sheng Long in SFII:

Ok this goes out to all you dis-believers.. Sheng Long does exist and I have

found him 4 times. The way I did it was by finishing the game beating

everyone in two rounds and ONLY using the punch button the whole game. Do not

use the kick button at all not even for special moves. I did it with

Ken and Ryu but it was all on the same machine. I dont know if it will work

on all machines but it worked for me. Its pretty cool, Sheng Long is a

little old man but he is really quick. When you do it you get this really

cool congratulations screen and then you fight. He has a cane and is so fast

I didnt rerally know what to do . I have lost each time that I have made

it so I dont know what happens next if you do beat him. But he does exist

at least on the machine that I play on. I hope it works for everyone else

becuase I need help beating Sheng Long.

for FF7 I just blew up ! I couldn't take it , sony's orange rat and FF7 ?

No I couldn't take it . One day everyone will wake up and see that the

only thing sony has going for it is Square and FF7 . What happens if

Square sees profit elsewhere ? Sony is back to their orange rat . Say

what you like but , Square is going to new lows with Sony . I mean mario

was bad enough , but the orange rat ! Square is no longer the company I

once knew and loved .

Also I totally ordered Dark Souls and it should be arriving today and I might get to start it tonight and I would like for the people who have played it lots to each give me one piece of advice. Ideally one of those will be class-based.

Do you prefer magic or bashing people? Pyromancer is quite a good staring class as it will give you a bit of range to fight the bad men's

I tend to prefer range when I'm all weak and rubbish at the beginning, then melee later on - that's how it went in Skyrim, anyway. Can I do that in Dark Souls or am I stuck with my choice?

Also Haggar I am naturally inclined to assume you are fucking with me.

I'm excited about fights! what's the ruling on character choice? Only loser can change or whatever we feel like? I'm still in Munich until Friday evening so I can't play until then. I've not played the game in about a month but I did play it non stop for two full years prior to that. I am looking forward to replays. Wanna all fake gamble by guessing results?

Seriously though, don't choose the Thief's Key as you can use it to sequence break, and shit might get confusing.

Starting Pyromancer is a good call, you start with ranged magic, and you can build your stats any way you like, Nate.

Gosh, I hope it turns up today. If the postie's coming at all he's possibly setting a new record, I think his lateness PB is 6.15pm. How terribly exciting.

BTW, hot lobby craze of 2013 is rumoured to be "Strekken mode", where the timer's set to 30 seconds forever. You heard it here first.
