Ultra Street Fighter IV

Alistarr, have you played enough of street fighter that I can recommend another game yet? Please play the Walking Dead. Okbye!

I haven't! None at all in fact. I've played a couple of hours of Super Hexagon and other than that I've been alternately grinding Dark Souls and Making Christmas Plans With My Extended Family. Not sure which is the harder of those games, to be honest.

I shied away from Walking Dead mostly because it's episodic. Will I get closure at the end?

So, as we're talking other games can someone recommend a 360 game for me?

I have shmups covered (I have all the non Japanese region locked Cave stuff). I have HL2/Portal/Portal2, Forza, F1 and that's about it. I've had a few others but can't recall them off the top of my head.

If you could recommend one 360 game what would you go for?

Also, is Catherine any good?

Catherine has a good atmosphere and some likeable characters and a bit of morality gauge nonsense to fuck around with, but there's all the block puzzle nonsense that has to be endured as well. Then again, it's puzzley in the same way that Puzzle Bobble is puzzley, in that it's quite fast and arcadey and you can cover your mistakes if you're quick - you don't have to play perfectly. I've played through it three times this year just to check out the different endings, and (on Easy mode at least) it's not too bad - I really liked the presentation and music, the story's silly but engaging, and it has combos and bosses and weird shit. Worth a look if you can find it cheap anyway.

Based on your choices thus far, either Bayonetta or Project Gotham 4. Or both, because they'll be about £5 each by now.

'Oops!...I did it again I beat your time

Got lost in this game, oh JLM

Oops!...You think that I wouldn't beat your time

I'm just not that rubbish' - Ploppy Spears

As for 360 Games

Peace Walker on the MGS HD Collection is very good

Bladestorm is good and is a bit like the Kingdom Under Fire games on the Xbox

Dragon's Dogma is awesome single player take on Monster Hunter

Asura's Wrath over the top QTE madness and the real ending (need DLC though) is SF themed

Fist of the Norht Star themed take on Dynasty Warriors

Deadly Premonition dodgy but ace Twin Peaks type game

DMC HD collection

Bayonetta has been mentioned but I'll mention it again as it is awesome.

Banjo Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts a very slow start but one of the best games I've played

EDF 2017 shoot aliens

Majin and the Forsaken Kingdom: Puzzle third person game

Shadows of the Damned the main character carries around a magic stick called Johnson :)

Also, Nuskool, if you've only got the Cave shmups, it's worth looking at Eschatos and Under Defeat.

Oh! And Vanquish.

Have Under Defeat coming for Christmas.

I'll take a look at Vanquish/Bayonetta... not tried either of those.

Thanks for the suggestions.

Skyrim because it's 250-hours-and-counting-plus-shedloads-more-to-do levels of good. If you're a sad sack like I am anyway. There's not much shooting in it though.

I am downloading Tokyo Jungle as we speak even though I will probably never play it.

I couldn't get into Bayonetta :/

Fallout 3. Hundreds of hours on that. Particularly amazing in that transitionary period between scrabbling around in the dirt for scraps and finally having enough resources to gad about being a badass. Also, Fawkes.

Someone is selling that Sonic racing game for £18 on this forum... should I get that? (You guys are better than reading online reviews!)

It is the best game ever until JLM beats my time trail time and then it will be rubbish, seriously it is a very good arcade racing game which has a really nice drift mechanic and is really fun to play against people you know as you can set up private lobbies with the AI taking up any spots you haven't filled.

Time trailing is really good in this, I much prefer it based on one rolling lap rather than the three laps of Mario Kart.

Basically if you liked any of Sumo's Outrun games this has an awful lot in common with that but styled with Sega goodness.
