Oh I hear that. I was so ready to welcome my PS3 back into my life on the evening I dusted it off (literally) to download Tokyo Jungle and Journey, and then over the next few hours I was reminded why I never use the fucking thing. I had issues getting into the PSN store, I had to perform multiple slooow system updates, both games needed to be installed ever so slooowly and I still think the control pad's a piece of crap. And it never came to any of my basketball games.Thankfully both games turned out to be well worth it though. "Defeat the beagle boss of Shibuya Woods" is one of the best objectives I've ever been given in a game.

Also yes, it was Vangief who replaced Brenofighters due to visa issues.

Yep, multiple problems buying stuff in the PS Store, errors all over the shop, then hours of waiting. Imagine a kid going through all that. Jesus.

Anyway, Tokyo Jungle seems excellent. I didn't really know anything about it and expected there to be humans and packs of lions and animal mayhem and carnage everywhere so I was a bit surprised when I was asked to take control of a littly yappy dog and kill some rabbits. The jumping is ludicrous. Everywhere I go I get my little lapdog to jump all over the place. Videogames.

Then I played Double Dragon Neon with my gf and oh my, we can't get past the first level. I've 5-starred everything in Rock Band Blitz now though, so there's that.

'mon the Alioune.

I'm a little disappointed the ST and 3S brackets are so small as they're the two best games to watch from the list. I knew they were only getting one qualifying spot per tournament but seeing the size of the fields is a little underwhelming regardless of how strong they are. Also that's a bit shit that the Brazilian guy isn't going and he's been replaced by a local. Boo.

There are player profiles here and here. I love how MOV's casually ends with "oh I've won SBO four times".

Oh and I played Shatter and beat Yasawas' score.

Hi, Yasawas.

I don't think I have many of you added on PSN. Will add some of you later. Post up some PSN tags or whatever they're called if they're not obvious in your signature please guys and dolls other guys.

I remember that game! I haven't played it in literally years. It was fun but I have a habit of buying downloadable games and playing them for a day and never returning to them that I'm trying to curb, which is why I'm still on the fence with Tokyo Jungle even though it's less than a fiver.

Same here, but exacerbated by the fact that I never ever play games on my PS3. I stuck it on while waiting for Tokyo Jungle to crawl slowly down my broadband tubes. It really is an excellent game.

I also played Shatter once but I deleted it after tiring of how obnoxiously loud the music is when you hover over it on the XMB.

Why aren't I PSN friends with any of you apart from Qazimod? Probably because I went disgustingly off-brand when creating my PSN account and for some reason am called ohnathan. I would like for people to add me, though.

OK I now have a Tokyo Jungle. I hope there are cats.

Did anyone hear mention on the commentary from the UK qualifier that Chi-Rithy had already qualified for 3rd Strike? He seems to be taking Mester's spot according to some sources which would be a shame. Yuns before Chuns.

The last thing I did in Tokyo Jungle last night was mate, then take one of my tiny pups and attack a horse with it. Predictably it immediately trampled me to death. Fucking horses. Who do they think they are?

Demon's Souls frustrated the hell out of me :(

How far did you get?

Not very. Getting through the first part (a bridge of some kind leading towards a castle?) was a trial, then after a million attempts I remember getting up some tower thing where people were chucking fire at me. It was pretty ludicrous really, I just couldn't get started at all.

Advice on here was to start again with a different type of character as I was using a Barbarian and that is the hardest class to start with. I will go back and start again at some point.

The thing with Demon's is that (for me anyway) it didn't click until after the first boss and then it was a whole world of pleasure in pain. Oh and Dark is awesome too, but once again takes a little while to get into it.

Personally I prefer Demon's, probably because I played it first and it is just that little bit more mean :)

The first boss in Demon's Souls is one of my favourite bits, but a lot of it is amazing. I think the ending/beginning of NG+ is probably my mist favourite bit.

My favourite bits in Dark Souls are mostly to do with the moments when you realise you can see different areas from unexpected places, or new areas are revealed. I want a PC mod that allows me to just fly/clip through the map, zooming around with infinite crystal soul spears raining down judgement on the world.

On topic, I just beat Smough then Ornstein in NG+ solo and am feeling all pleased with myself. I'm still waiting for a bit that will be more maddening to do solo than I know trying to fix my laptop's internet connection will be. Probably the sunlight covenant thing because I hate levelling up Faith.

I've been dodging and clawing away until they get stunned before going rushing down for the kill.

I mash until it works, sometimes it works! I took down a hyena in that last run there and stalking and jumping it was honestly more thrilling than anything that happened in the entirety of Dishonored. Then some cats attacked me and it was hilarious and I found a pig on the roof of an apartment building somehow.
