I just played five hours of lag free Streetfighter. It was good. Housemates are back so it's laggy now, but it was so good while it lasted. I finished with 45 games against IronWill's very solid Ken, a third of them as Akuma and then loads of random select. A lot of my characters are back in their default costumes and I'm not sure why, so next time I'm lobbying I think I'll go through the cast in order and sort them out with nice clothes.

Also, ULTIMATE BLANKA's Blanka isn't very good.

I've just finished VVVVVV and wanted to tell someone. It was glorious, buy that and play it.

Keep playing it. I got most of the fun from VVVVVV after I finished it. Glorious is right.

GGs to andyGT360UK too! Rose is supposed to cause problems for Guile, but I didn't really. Then some hella fun matches around the cast :D

Also you can't uppercut those unsafe shoulder block strings online unless you're mashing wildly. I uppercut after blocked high dive kicks because you can eyeball that and just input the DP once, but for MP into shoulder and MK into shoulder it's already too late by the time you see it.

Good games, Joseph especially fun were our Guile - Rose runbacks :)

I really need to go for the C to shining C achievement as my skills with the rest of the cast are rusty to say the least.

I completed the C to shining C achievement and I still can only use Dhalsim.

Yeah he's wrong about that, but it is possible to uppercut in between the normal and the shoulder, just very difficult to do online.

I like that Momochi did it the first time he saw Ryan Hart throw out a buffered normal into shoulder to let him know he couldn't just mindlessly spam it for the whole set.

In other news, I have been trolled. HJMXP, who is probably tied with Kuroken for best Dudley in the world at the moment, has set up a second account for PSN under the name KOKUJIN, using Kokujin's signature pink and white Dudley. I thought Kokoujin had finally dropped Ryu and picked up SFIV Dudley, but alas no. Booo.

That is an insanely stacked line up, though it's a shame Breno Fighters from Brazil couldn't make it for AE. What makes it extra shit is that he would have played Infiltration first round, and Infiltration is known to have trouble with the Cammy match up. Instead Infiltration's facing Vangief, and as highly as I rate Vangief I just don't see him winning that. Still, it's an incredible bracket full of killers and I can't wait to see it. I'll be rooting for Snake Eyez, though I think it'd be very fitting if Daigo took the whole thing with Ryu. The competitive Streetfighter poster boy using the Streetfighter poster boy in the anniversary tournament seems right.

Very very strong bracket for this game too, made extra spicy because you get the car on top of the prize money for this. Tatsu is the only American player I've seen taking this seriously as his main game, so I think he has a decent chance. Momochi looked unbeatable in qualifying, but then Infiltration has looked unbeatable every time I've seen him play this. I'm also very interested to see if Poongko shows up because he has been a ghost lately and nobody knows why.

Third Strike

Again, a pleasingly strong line up for this game. I can't look past MOV taking it, but in the absence of a UK representative I'll be cheering on Gunfight from France and his excellent Dudley.

Super Turbo

I think this is my favourite line up outside of AE. I would love to see John Choi take this, or failing that Damdai via the power of science.

I like that they're all near impossible to call, though I think of the four, MOV taking Third Strike is the safest one.

Tokyo Jungle is excellent. How do I unlock story chapters?

You need to collect the little memory stick things dotted around the map in Survival mode.

Predictions:

AE: Infiltration

SFXT: Infiltration

3rd Strike: MOV

Super Turbo: Damdai

AE: Alioune. What I definitely don't want is another fucking Rufii GF.
