I just noticed that Super Hexagon is getting a release on Mac via Steam next week. I'll be all over that. I'm coming for your scores, Choo!

Not really obviously. Those times are obscene. You insane human.

EDIT: Hold on; I think maybe it's out already? Doesn't really matter since my online will absolutely never be activated.

Just moved flat about two weeks ago; activation date was last week but the line is totally dead. A wee man with a tool belt is gonna come round on saturday and huff around my hallway in worn denim while I akwardly make the most inadequate small talk imaginable.

I'm pretty sure the fact those situations arise is the only reason most men like football. Maybe I'll ask him what his favourite Hakan taunt is.

Also, I bought Super Hexagon on the iphone, but it's not my iphone so I've hardly played. And I'm awful. I got over a minute on the first stage, but then I clicked on leaderboards and saw your cheeky wee face with something humbling. Insane.

I just got 632 coins on the Mushroom course if you want a challenge Mr Cakes.

In more related news I forgot about the streams last night and ended up playing ranked and it was an awful experience, luckily I played an Akuma who didn't like my Chun and I ended up wiining the match with a 4 hit combo. Which to be fair is my best Chun combo and about the only one I can do :(

Anyway back on topic I will be getting the other coin courses later and then I will beat all of Mr Cakes scores (in my dreams, not that I dream of Joffo of course I hope.)

Yeeeesss, he replied. But he can't make it :(

How the fuck do I do that thing where you insert a tweet into a post, then?

I think you can only do account links, like this - @SoAndButAnyway - although you can obviously c/p the direct link like this - POW - or something. Awesome effort, by the way. :)

I re-watched Desk's FADC stuff recently and I don't think I do enough focus taunts. It's kind of inexcusable when you consider that I'm using a Fightpad and my enormous thumb can easily cover four face buttons. Focus taunt lobbies? :P

Ha, no; the first person I ever saw do them was a guy who goes around online calling himself either Jeemer or PaulieTheB0ss; he had a youtube video showcasing all the taunts and colours as well as Focus Taunts. So I played him online by chance in ranked and did loads of focus taunts, got a message back telling me I'm excellent, then I told him he taught me it, and it turned out he lived in Blackpool but was from glasgow, and knew guys I knew. A month later he came back to Glasgow and we went to his mate's house and played Street Fighter with Papa Johns and beer then watched some streams and Archer. It was a good and excellent time.

You could even bind the two shoulder buttons to focus and taunt to allow optimal focus taunting. It's what joffo would want.

Also I might ask zhi over tomorrow, assuming he's in the country.

That's exactly what I did do for a while, with those rightmost buttons on the stick. Focus and taunt. Because you have to taunt just as the focus absorbs the hit to get the cancel and cant just press them all at once. Now I just do it by hopping from focus to taunt with two fingers. It's such a great thing. I'll do it any time there's a full screen fireball.

I like the idea of inviting these nice Street Fighting men out for nice meals to experience the local culture. I also am slightly obsessed with how easily it could all get out of hand.

I played Limmy at Street Fighter live on his webcam once. I lost. My brush with Street Fighter fame.

Apparently Super Hexagon doesn't save your scores if you're offline. Given that I'm only ever going to play it on the bus, at the moment my high score on Hexagon is about 65, Hexagoner is about 35 and Hexagonest is about 14.

Edited the next day: It seems I got this wrong. My score is there. I only have Choo on my steam friend list though, apparently.

Yes. That post is literally all I want for Christmas.

Also I watched the Dreamhack singles stuff. Laugh vs Skatan was a highlight, but the standard throughout was excellent. I particularly liked that Ixion's losses weren't shown on stream because I only like watching him when he wins.

Zhi was making the case for running at least 3 out of 5 sets for Streetfighter at all tournaments. As if I didn't love him enough already. I think at the very least they should do this for top 32 if their argument is that pools will take too long. I think the European model of having groups and then a double elimination bracket is also preferable to the American format. More games leads to higher quality sets and usually provide a better indication of who was the better player.

SF4 isn't as random as Marvel, but the first game in a Streetfighter set between two players who haven't

played before is rarely indicative of anything at all, and for the winner of that game to then be on match point is pretty ridiculous. At Dreamhack they even have winners and losers Finals as a 2 out of 3 set, even though grand finals is played hours later on a different stage so time can't possibly be an issue. Sort it out tournament organisers.

Excellent stuff in here today lads. Haggar's fienddream in particular is great. If carlito was still here that scenario would've ended up with someone in some kind of torture dungeon being forcefed their dad's balls or something. Some.

I'm glad he doesn't come round anymore.
