I guess we'd probably cuddle.

Also, im-p, since you know everything about Japan and square-enix, could you please give me a percentage change of Boom Street getting a 3DS version in europe? Failing that, can you sit with me and read the text while I struggle on with the regular japanese DS one? Thanks.

Quick question, got SSF4 disc version for Windows, however, it uses the horrendous Microsoft Game Live. Seen it on steam for sale with all costumes, so does this mean it uses steam to play online? Hope that makes sense.

I don't know the answer, but I did buy it from Steam with all the DLC for about a tenner during the sale and I kinda assumed you could register and play it via steam if you have the disc? I don't know for certain. I know Alistarr has the PC version, though I dunno if his is disc.

Also; I've heard a lot of people say that the PC version looks noticeably better. Does it?

Depends on your PC :)

I think it will still use GFWL even though it is downloaded from steam, but I'd be happy to be proved wrong.

I'd give it a percentage chance of getting a 3DS version in Europe, sure.

Don't ask me what percentage though.

Everyone must play The Walking Dead. Just get the first episode and see what you think, it's only 400 points. You have spent more than that on costumes to play dressup with your fighting game men.

Did you actually cry at the end, imp? I didn't but only because my wife was also in the room and I let her do it on my behalf.

I keep hearing people go on about how excellent it is. And I do love adventure games. What interesting stuff does it do game-wise, without spoiling the story stuff? Or is it one of those games where you can't really convey how good it is without going on about the story stuff?

I'll get it anyway. And probably watch the TV series too, even though it all got a bit rubish toward the end of the first series for me.

For the record, lads, I cry at everything. From the beggining of E.T. ("I can't; he's in Mexico with Sally"), to the Cheers theme song or those hand-drawn info panels on the bus where an old lady has a fridge full of cat food but no cat.

Joffo, it basically puts you in bleak situations, waves a countdown timer under your nose and makes you do things.

Sometimes it's a fairly obvious choice between two options, sometimes it's more complex, sometimes you don't realise you're making a choice at all. Basically, everything you do will have an effect on the story in some way. Most of them not huge game-changing things, but people will treat you differently depending on how you've treated them, and impressively at no point did I ever think "hey, that's not what I meant when i selected that dialogue option!"

It really really impressed me. And I dislike the original comic books.

I thought The Walking Dead was some indie PC game. Downloading tonight for realz. Word.

Back on topic, I've been watching loads of Breaking Bad and am now at the end of series two. Walt has become very annoying. Also me and the mrs have been making our way through the Twilight Zone. Every episode ever is up on US Netflix which is amazing.

Ok, sounds good to me. I do love those incidents where you pick a line that you feel may convey the complex subtlety of your characters emotions only for them to immediately charge forward and slap a big meaty palm across a meek old lady's jawbone. Mass Effect, basically.

It defo uses GFWL. I had my first go on ranked in ages earlier. I suck so bad. If only sitting around reading about fighting games made you a better player :(.

As Imp says The Walking Dead is a game about choice, but not the binary, obvious good-evil system that most games tend to use. You might have to choose which of two people you're going to save, and who is going to die. You may have to decide which of two people hates you slightly less, rather than which one will like you. And all the while there's a countdown timer ticking away, and if you don't make a choice, you don't say anything at all. So you can be the silent badass when you want to be, but you can also look weak and useless by not doing anything when you really should have. And every single decision you make has a consequence. It might be so slight you never notice it, and it might not matter for a couple of episodes, but it's there.

It's well-written - not brilliant but very good indeed for its medium - nicely acted, and the facial animations are great. It's brutal, and heartbreaking, and the first time I've ever felt the episodic model actually works.

It's also a Telltale game which means it is janky as all fuck and will delete your save or make a child invisible for a scene if you feed him animal crackers, but you forgive it that stuff because it does so many things so, so well.

Please buy it.

Milt, how long does the walking dead take to play through? I could do with a wild and total change up from my latest gaming diet of insanity.

Also, the answer to my teaser is this: You use dudley's ex cross counter to counter the most damaging normal in the game, since the damage cross counter does is dependent on the normal it counters. I think the most damaging normal is that wild finger poke that gen does.

So there.
