Ultra Street Fighter IV

JLM

Recommended Posts

Someone appears to have uploaded a video of alistarr playing samurai drew, it just popped up in my youtube recommended videos, bizarrely. Look at it here:

What a pleasant surprise! Immediately after that match JLM invited me to a lobby and I chattered away to him about the glorious, glorious ending. I won the first match I played against him with my rare Cautious Rufus style but I remember the one in the video being an absolute mauling, so watching it back was actually quite, well, pleasant.

Happy Birthday Qaz, get down!

Also, I like samurai drew. He is a nice quiet boy. And has a ludicruously good Abel too.

EDIT: Just watched the match; some brilliant normals'n Ally Star! I really enjoyed that. The length of his FADC block-string sit confirm at the end was just ridiculous though!

Happy birthday Qazi! I actually noticed it was your birthday yesterday and made a mental note to bring it up and then decided in the end it made me look too internet stalkerish and didn't bother. I'm so conflicted.

I don't get paid until Tuesday so am wretchedly poor atm but I like how there is fighting to watch this weekend at least and it's in a friendly time zone. Hot madam. Are there any interesting non-Europeans at DreamHack besides Zhi?

Amazing tales. I would suggest we all send him motivating messages of consolation, but that's tantamount to lowering ourselves to their level.

Completely unrelated, but as I only play endless lobbies now (be it with randoms or you guys) I find that when I want to switch off and go to bed I have to leave at the right moment; not before my match as it seems disrespectful; not after a win (for the same reasons) and not after a defeat because then it looks like I can't handle the L.

I think I need help.

Dangit. We have a silver disc of ZOE HD - debug code that works on a retail 360 - at the office, so I brought it home. But all I get when I load it is a choice between ZOE and the sequel. What on earth am I going to do with this erection now, Plopboy?

Ah it maybe different for the PS3 but preview code might be sans le demo anyway :(

So I suggest a cold shower or a game of Superman 64

I ended up drunkenly playing God Of War III which I am quite sure is the most violent videogame I've ever played. Also the shiniest. Everything looks actually wet.

I'm still baffled by the series' popularity to be honest. None of your attacks ever feel like they connect, you just sorta swirl these luminous blades around and things eventually die. And Kratos has absolutely the worst double jump in the history of videogames and I can't believe they still haven't changed it. It is the worst.

I did genuinely laugh out loud at the sex scene, though. Some very funny QTEs.

Also! Because it's Saturday morning and it's raining and you might have a few spare minutes, and you're feeling kindly, if not towards me then towards lovely Imp for his excellent post up there, have a look at this.

Lovely imp up there is now writing a weekly column of Japanese videogame news for Edge's lovely website. Isn't that lovely! You should read it, then come back every Monday and read all the other columns that will follow, and maybe some other stuff on the website too.
