I just did it again and inexplicably won the game and got an achievement for a 5 match win streak I hadn't noticed I was building up because I was so locked into thinking I was losing constantly. Three of the matches were against the same one guy. Hurrah for dead games.

Now I have to try and get the other stupid achievements too.

Flatmate progress:

Started the trials with Vega, and got his determination face on. Can now do Flying Barcelona Attack 5 times in a row, as long as I remind him to keep his arm down. Spent forever on Izuna Drop but finally made it. Finally, managed his Super once. Parting words: "there's no Grand Prix on next weekend. I am getting good at Street Fighter."

Lad.

I have a new ryu combo I want to land. In the corner after an uppercut FADC you can juggle with ex tatsu and link into ultra. The timing on the ex tatsu to get the right number of hits is pretty specific, and you hardly get any damage off the ultra. I love it. I'm trying to figure out a way to somehow squeeze a fourth bar in there somewhere.

I nearly got donut with it on saturday, but I mistimed the tatsu and he flew out of the corner, wildly.

Geegs all; sorry I didn't stay for long. Amazing games with all of you as ever. Shoutouts to Donut for some awesome Makoto matches against my Ibuki; our first duel was pretty tense and I think I got a bit lucky with some of my opportunities... I eventually took the first match, but Donut could have swung it around at any moment. Although our headsets were off, I was really hoping that he wanted to run it back as much as I did - the speed at which we picked our characters seemed to suggest as much. :)

Sorry for not joining up with you last night but the wife was hogging the internet with a program she wanted to watch.

I had been playing ranked before that and had set myself a goal of getting Elf to 2000BP for no other reason than it would look nice. Much swearing and cursing followed but I did end up being as cheap as the old fashioned chips. First round was an ultra on my opponents wakeup (cheap) and then repeated tortillas in the second (uber cheap). I did finish it nicely but oh so cheap

I'm still doing the Heggfest video but I'm having some slight issues rendering better quaility files, bear with me and I should have them all done by christmas :doh:

Yep, had me suppressing giggles at my desk. I could almost taste the Gouken's salt through my lunchtime felafels.

Had an odd double Elf encounter last night myself - got absolutely stomped by a guy with hardly any points, then next match was someone called Pro Fluke I think, who had lots. I won the first round close to perfect. He got angry after that, but it amused me. Good players clearly take a while to learn my dumb stuff.

Also I'm so so so so so excited about this house finally getting internet tomorrow. I'm going to play so much Street Fighter IV Borderlands 2 tomorrow.

GGs to qazi, joeplus, jiro and donut last night. I missed an opportunity for Roseball with joeplus for fear of looking like a dick. He was maining Rose and, 'cause I roll headsetless, didn't want come across all 'I'll show you how to play Rose' by picking her too. That and that I have a small but ultimately lazy intention to improve my Abel hence picking him quite a bit.

I tried and failed to bully donut's Boxer with that whole jab, step, jab, step, jab, step thing that Boxers do to me all the time (I was Ryu) before he pulled out DA HOTNESS with Ryu himself. cr.mk x fireball FADC cr.mk x fireball FADC cr.mk x tatsu. I positively squealed with joy.

oh my god the steak.

pork belly ribs and potted beef and yorkshire puddings to start

medium rare ribeye, triple cooked chips, mash, greens and anchovy hollandaise for the main event

salted caramel and popcorn ice cream for dessert.

rough and ready French red on the side. not too clever for the meal.

wow. perfect meal. just perfect.

If I'd had you cornered I could've thrown a couple of pointless light kick and punches in there for added hype! GGs sirs.

so good it made donut rage quit. the match after. as his Seth was piledriving me.

BT Homescrub did the deed for me this evening, it seems.

But look at this! What on earth is Seth doing to poor Mr Bison?

So I thought I just played Kindevu online and got all excited but I'm starting to think he isn't French!

Anyway, off Daigo hunting... back in a couple of weeks :)

Have fun in Japan. I'm going in a few weeks too. In fact, we crossed paths discussing this on bordersdown (where I'm Jay). Don't buy up all the good stuff, thanks :)
