If that's aimed at my Ken perfect I'm sorry, it just sort of happened. Hadn't used him in yonks until last night.

If it's aimed at the Blanka crouching fierce into Super after your Super Taunt, it's a fair cop but I couldn't resist. Anyway, good games to yourself, and Donut, Qazi and Goemon, who I honestly think I had never played until last night.

I apologise to everyone for all the throws. So many throws.

Nar and to be fair you did let Dan finish his awesome super taunt :)

Apparently something is happening this weekend, oh thats right Mister Samuel is off to a wedding :P

I will be playing this for at least a wee bit tonight. I have developed absolutely no new tricks or characters. I planned to have a wee Gen up my sleeve but I just didn't bother trying to use him. Sadness.

Also, I am free to offensive players in 3rd Strike, and free to all buttons in Marvel.

I have only played Blazblue all week. And only against the AI at that. I was relieved and slightly saddened to see they've gotten rid of the disgustingly hard iteration of Score Attack mode whereby you had to fight every single character in the game on maximum difficulty, followed by the "unlimited" versions of each of the core story characters, who had ridiculous attributes like combos that took off 80% health while restoring their own by about 40% and a constantly rising special meter. Phew.

I played that nice John Rhoads man at Street Fighter last night again since no one else was on; he's got a fair few characters under his belt, including a very consistent Cammy (he's very good at baiting crouch techs with block strings before punishing with instant EX Cannon Strike), but his Ibuki is just great. Completely unnecessary post focus-crumple juggle dash-through juggle dash reset tricks, high jump cancels into Ultra/Super and much better use of her brilliant close standing hard kick than I've been ever to manage.

His friend's Ryu joined us also; he wasn't great or anything, but he did make great use of Ryu's neutral jumping medium kick and I'm pretty sure the "Look out, he's got a stick!" in his bio is a Garth Marenghi's Darkplace reference, so I approve.

Happy birthday Choo!

So last night I figured I should probably play SSFIV a bit seeing as a) I haven't played it for many, many, many months b) I'm meeting up with some nice folks the day after who are absolute beasts at the game.

What a shocker.

Strekken Dhalsim has completely rewired my brain. In Strekken, pressing buttons without touching the stick will get you Sim's short moves. Pushing forward on the stick will get you his stretchy moves. This is of course the complete opposite of SSFIV where pressing buttons gets you stretchy moves and holding back gets you his short moves. So there's that.

Anyway, I jumped into a lobby for a few games before bed. Terrible stuff mostly, and I can no longer IAT->headbutt->b.MK->flame mainly I think because I'm now having to hold back for the headbutt and MK whereas in Strekken I have the stick in neutral but also the hitstun on Sim's headbutt is nothing like it is in Strekken. Also also, my hands seems to have become lazy because in Strekken it's so easy to settle into doing L,M,H,H launchers and letting fat Rufus waddle in instead beore losing because I have no idea what I'm doing but hey, combos. So there's that too.

Played a few (what I thought were) friendly games (the majority of which I lost, but I massively enjoyed as it gave me a feel for the game again) against a really good Cody player who ended quite a lot of rounds with chip win finishes :/

Sent him a GGs message when I quit out to go to bed, said I wasn't sure about those chip finishes though with a big old winky, then got this:

The moral of this story: Xbox Live is full to bursting with obnoxious cunts.

He uses Seth. Just disregard him. The type of people who are drawn to Seth are probably trying to make up for other inadequacies. They're feckless scrubs of the highest order. Remember this the next time you see someone using Seth.

I managed to find a boxed copy of Flying Dragon for the N64 in town for only £8 :o twas an awesome find and I bought some shitty fighters for the Xbox too. I picked up Mirrors Edge too but the disc is scratched to buggery so I'll have to take it back :(

Never heard of Flying Dragon before. Am going to have to get that now. Is it any good?

I love charity shops. Yesterday I bought a sealed Psycho DVD, a sealed American Werewolf In London HD-DVD and Rallisport Challenge and Kung-Fu Chaos for the Xbox. All from charity shops.
