Joffles I don't have a spare stick but if you do order one I'd be happy to swap it over for you, thoigh to be fair it should just be a screwdriver job nothing to be scared of. You could always order an octagonal gate as they are awesome, just a shame they can't make me awesome.

Btw do debug ps3s play JP PS games?

Edit: Look dead easy to get the stick out :)

I'll stick to square gate, more than likely. If I ordered one today from Gremlin, would it be delivered in time for Friday, y'all reckon?

And Samuel, no, I did not know that was counterhit only. Follow on question: Do combos starting with counterhit have any quirky properties like extra hitstun/juggle later in the combo? Or is it still just a difference for the next hit?

That is brilliant. One further stupid joystick question; the gremlin site I'm ordering my JLF from says that it doesn't come with the JLF-H 5-Pin cable; should I order it; or is that something that's already in there anyway? Or should I order it even though it's in there, because mine is old?

Excellent. I got one anyway, haha. It was only £3; can't hurt to have a spare. I can't watch the video in work, but I'll have a gander later. I'll definitely leave the JLF installing till Heggland though, to be sure.

I got a boring old white ball top because I still have in my head the idea that I'll turn it into a Grim Fandango stick, so I could paint a little calavera face on there.

GGs indeed, not played you for a while, always a pleasure!

I had a longer set with donut tonight, too. Some randoms, and then ended up with longer sets of cammy v mak and seth. I would've liked to play longer, but suddenly realised I had no work shirts and a massive ironing pile, which I only just finished.

I have started doing a thing which I now call focus confirming, where I throw out a cr.mk at a range which will hit, and then cancel into a special if I see that seth is in his focus animation. It resulted in significantly fewer crumples than usual. Just like my shirts.

You're single, right? I think you're gonna be ok...in fact, where are you gonna be? Field trip on top of field trip? Yes please.

Just sent a PM to everyone who messaged me about the coming weekend. Last call, if you weren't on the PM just now I don't know about your interest. So get involved.

Right, what are we doing re: recording anything, and little tournaments?

I didn't get a PM either. Did you get mine?

edit - nevermind!

Ggs Cale, Donut and Quazzleston. I am going to have to observe the habits of my new housemates and find a suitable time to play because I'm having horrible lag issues at the moment and it makes me sad. I wanted to do some of the newer cool Dudley stuff I've been practising because I haven't played Cale much lately but it was quite a struggle. Still fun though, and at the weekend I can do iy live and constantly glance around looking/begging for approval.

Donut is a terrible, wonderful man. We both spent three rounds trying to land mostly pointless setups against each other a little while ago. I nearly got mine off but fluffed my lines. Then he landed one to take the match. I lol'd.

JLM was in imperious form with his Dudley too before the lag did for him and it was good to grab a couple of games with Qazi also.

:)
