I will have my 3DS and Mario Kart on me. I expect Joffo and Donut will also. So there is a strong possibility.

I think on the Saturday evening Cale is putting on a six hour Skyrim exhibition too, which should be pretty hype.

How many setups will there be at heggfest?

I have been to a few different sessions, but I remember one in particular where there was a couple of setups but people weren't switching and I could count the amount of goes I had on 1 hand.

There will be Mario Kart. I am incredibly rusty though, because my enthusiasm for the game died due to lack of shared leaderboards. I have a lot of megabus to play the game during though, so maybe I'll get about 5 hours of Kartin' training in.

I'm not much better at it when I ain't rusty though.

Last time there were two big TV set ups, an arcade cabinet with suspect buttons with an Xbox in it for 3rd Strike/CVS2 and the like, then laptops for retro/poverty fighter.

There wasn't any strict switching policy, and sometimes people stayed on for longer sets, but there are people to talk to and other games to play and also watching the games is fun. I don't remember any point where I was bored waiting for a go.

I don't remember being bothered about playing a game at all; I just wandered around, smiling a lot and drinking more coffee than I probably should have.

Yes, there were no problems at all with people hogging sets and it was all super friendly, so no issues whatsoever. Plus it was excellent fun whether playing or spectating.

Last year there were too many sticks. I hope this year we don't have the opposite problem. I won't be bringing mine this time round as I'm only there for the Friday evening. Hope this is ok. Maybe we should have a hands up of who is bringing what?

I'm planning to bring:

360 with AE2012. Copies of SSF4, UMVC3, KOFXIII, Strekken and Tekken 6. Also have VF5:FS and almost every other XBL fighter on the hard drive. Sadly my original Xbox games and plenty of other fun stuffs will still be in storage at the time of Heggfest. Oh, and it has Hidden in Plain Sight on it of course.

Also bringing my TE, and if our hostel room on Saturday doesn't have adequate facilities I can bring a small TV as well.

Hmm, I'll have to have a dig around for it, but I'm pretty sure I've still got my old chipped Xbox around somewhere. That's full of emulators. I've also got two Magic Boxes for hooking up PS / Saturn pads - I could lug that along and pop it into the cab.

Happy to bring my TE too. Although it only has six buttons, which could potentially cause problems for some people.

Ha, I could bring a spare stick for your brawlstick too. I've been meaning to replace the stick in the HRAP for years and I've got a brand new one all ready to put in there - you're welcome to the old one. It still works fine, just very worn. I think I owe you a favour anyway - let me know. I assume the mounting plate that comes with the SE is fine? Just gotta take care with those cheese screws.

Failing that, I'm probably going to see a friend mid week who has 2 PS3 TEs, so can nab one off him.

Oh and I'll be bringing my 3DS with me too along with NSMB, MK7 and SF4.

Some days I really wonder why I picked Elf I had a really torrid time in ranked earlier. I did start to pick up on people play style but messed up so often, oh Elf why did you pick me and my feeble skills.

Though I am going to pick a secret character for Heggfest, oh yes and you will all be in awe at my skills and bow down before me and crown me your King. For this plan to work I need get Desk to take my place and pretend to be me for the weekend, oh yes how can this plan fail. I suppose if Desk isn't available I could ask Infiltration, I'm sure he would do it.

Team Jellistarr is confirmed for both the Friday and Saturday nights of Heggfest, everyone. I know some of you were hesitant about showing up for the Friday until you had confirmation of this.

Team SuperCalefragilisticexpialiDoggiiious will apparently not be attending on the Friday night, sadly, due to their sponsor messing them around. eSports. They'll be appearing on Saturday.

I've been using Ryu in Ranked an had a great deal of fun with him. That post f+hp combo of cr.lp, cr.hp x whatever is far easier than going right into cr.hp like I had been. Probably scales a fair bit more though. I love all his corner nonsense. What's a good full meter waster with Ryu? I attempted j.hp, cr.lk, cr.lp, cr.hp x EX.Tatsu > EX.SRK FADC Ultra 1, but dropped the Ultra. Anything flashier? I can't seem to nail this 3/4 times EX fireball into Ultra nonsense.

I had a cheeky wee match against Hegg's Bison as well, and cheekily won it. I hope this isn't revisited on me tenfold come next saturday.

I also experienced (after being called a "fukin' paki" via message on Friday by a vile, and pretty poor, blanka player) some of the milder racial slurs from a man called SARGY AOD; still rockin' vanilla Super and Ken, I beat him as Seth (still goin' for everyone at B rank in ye olde Super) and when I joined his lobby again later he was grunting "yo, joffocakes, put ya' mic on, biiiitch! Fuckin' bitch!", so I did, and said hello, before continuing my conversation about which cheeses to use on our pizza (I went for goats cheese on the italian sausage one, and fontina cheese on the mushroom). Unable to pinpoint my accent he started mocking me in a badly put on Yorkshire farmer accent before clicking and calling me "fuckin' haggis bitch!" for the remainder of the match. Haha, he was alright in the end, and laughed and said good game and everything after I Seth'd him up a bit.

Also also, does anyone coming along to Heggworld have a spare lovely stick I could buy from them to use in my SE stick? mine creaks and jams and basically weeps in agony when I touch it now, and I was too scared to order one because I'm sure I'll mess up switching it.
