Yeah, XBL was being all kinds of odd this evening. I had the thing where it delivers each of your old messages back to you one at a time as well; it was quite distracting. Apologies to Donut and Haggar but invites and messages and party chat etc. were extremely unreliable all night. Also why can I suddenly not play against Joffo? I'm still on magic internets!

Ggs to Allystarr and Imp anyway. Fun Marvel games earlier, then lots of my various characters vs Rufus, then sixty (60!) straight matches against imp, which is why I'm posting this at 3:45AM. What I love the most is that Nate is still out there fighting on the streets. Fighting games are the best games.

Imp was totally using hacks in our epic set by the way; there was one round where I hit his Akuma with air to air roundhouse with Rufus and juggled with ultra 1. It caught him just fine, went into the animation and then just dropped him for no reason whatsoever. Not only did it cost me the round, but I was so mentally guard broken that I got murdered in the next one too. Cheating swine.

Also Allystarr, I have had a breakthrough with the Captain America combo I keep saying I'm too chicken to attempt in our matches. I can now get it 7 out of 10 tries in training, up from my previous 1 out of 10. One more short session of drilling it and it will be lobby ready. It does 750k for one meter, compared to my current staple b'n'b that does 635k. More importantly, it is both harder to do and more impressive visually than my current staple b'n'b, and that's what really counts.

Sorry I couldn't play much the other day - the connection was arse and I could never really get started. :( Hopefully we'll run the lobby back soonish.

Also, I heard on another forum that it's plopboy's birthday - yahoo!

I'm dropping Marvel faster than your Rufus dropped Akuma out of his ultra. That does happen sometimes to small characters albeit very, very rarely - if I'm ready for the j.HK to connect then I usually do three quarter circles before inputting the punches, which has the twin benefits of making it less likely I'll get EX snake strike and giving the body a little bit longer to fall towards the ground so it won't get popped out.

I will test out my xbox again later but I'm cheered to know that the rest of you managed another three hours of fighting after I went to bed. Maybe I'll be around when you wake up.

Anyway yes, it was good to play street fighter again after another Marvel spell. I'll try and alternate between games a bit better for a while.

I do want to play Demons Souls and Dark Souls and Xenoblade and New Vegas as well, though.

I think Dhalsim is the character who most frequently drops out of that Rufus Ultra 1 juggle. The bastard. I enjoyed the Street Fightin' last night; Nate caught me once again with an wild fireball into full uppercut Ultra with Evil Ryu. I love that thing. Connection all round was pretty poor though; I'm gutted I wasn't able to connect to Jellum.

Oh I should mention in case it wasn't obvious that the reason I didn't join the earlier lobby with Imp and Joffo was that I took pity of lonesome ol' JLM not being able to connect to you guys. He rewarded me by hacking the game so that none of my combos would work.

Edit: it would appear that this hack is permanent.

Oooh, CC Asia have done an Excellent Adventures

for Persona 4 The Ultimate Mayonnaise Arena which I am watching. I don't think I'll be any more knowledgeable after it's over since every match I watch makes me more confused... :(

Also yeah, Nate, my friends list said you were playing a ranked match at 3:30AM. I hope this wasn't anything to do with the XBL meltdown and was actually Mrs. Nate training up a secret character for Heggfest in the wee small hours.
