Thanks for the Mahvel games AllyBallyBee and Jellum; I'll try out the order switching with Morrigan and Skrull. Skrull is good because you can just do nonsense and occasionally it'll score you a KO. I don't have any advanced combos with anyone though, and not a single OTG assist based one either, especially not of the like your Ghost Rider was getting. I love the frustrating as hell Captain America stuff, with the shield rebound and carwheel and wall bounce follow up stuff. I should get a wee hour training done once I get home to see if I can learn some proper Skrull antics.Morrigan's flight cancel shenanigans will have to wait.

Played JLM some more on Marvel. I really enjoy it now. I understand, mostly, the mistakes I'm making. Doesn't stop me relying on utter gimmickry to score damage (I just can't seem to work with any hit I lang via lack of knowledge and also being simply unable to take advantage of the hitstun), but I'm learning stuff bit by bit. Thanks, sir!

You're already better than you were yesterday Joffles, I would like to see you stick with it. The fact that it has proper player matches with a rematch button means your time spent playing/actual match experience ratio is much better than SF4's. I think I enjoyed being Skrulled out a couple of times as much as I enjoy Dormammu-ing other folks out.

Oh, and I did a bit of ranked today. Won 4 and lost 6, though I only played four different people. One of the losses was notable for being the first time I've ever been the victim of a Dark Wesker reverse OCV. It was brutal but I felt like it was something of a Marvel rite of passage I needed to go through if I'm going to keep playing this. The most fun games were against Pigeon Fancier and his Spidey/Magneto/Doom team. He has the most glorious Spiderman combos that last about five minutes, but when I stopped getting hit I opened him up quite regularly and Cap can kill puny Spiderman and Magnus with very little effort. I accidentally taunted after beating him the first time because I'm not used to fighting ranked randoms on this and was still in vs. Allystarr mode. He didn't seem to mind though.

Gurgles to Jiro and Donut last night, and profuse apologies for drunken random select, by which I mean many many wakeup Ultras.

Revelations is definitely this weekend but there's not much buzz about it at all, oddly. Buried in the weekend event listings on eventhubs and most of the folk I follow on twitter seem to be elsewhere this weekend.

I think GGPO has proven how bad I am on a keyboard. You'd think it would be easier than a gamepad because you have your hand flat across the buttons and can space things apart, but it can be a bit futile.

I really wanted that guy with the keyboard at EVO (Roogle?) to go far though. :(

Had a nice wee set of bison against cody with jiro tonight. I'm trying to shake the rust off bipson at the moment and had an ok ranked session, apart from getting totally destroyed by a dee jay frenchman. Bison seems to have an awful time against dee jay. Struggles to anti-air him (especially knee shot, the hitbox on that is amazing!), can't cross him up due to autocorrect upkicks and various other things. I need to work on that matchup a bit.

I got a crossup j.hp setup to work on jiro which I was pleased with, and I also used some kind of mental trickery to get him to just backwards so that my ultra 1 hit him both times, instead of him just blocking it. Jiro, I dunno if you know this, but cody can actually punish bison's ex psycho crusher on hit with bad spray. Extra bit of damage for you there!

I've been practicing Skrull's Stone Smite relaunch combos because I want to be able to kill Ghost Rider next time I see him.

I'm also looking forward to being temporarily distracted by Persona 4: Arena. I want to get some Super Street Fighter 4 local play in sometime soon. I hope we get some proper Heggfest plans sorted. It was a fun time playing Jiro at both AE and 3rd Strike.

I'm tempted to get a vita with UMvC3, to learn the game. Even though it'll become an Everycunts Golf machine and nothing more.

Yeah ggs Haggar, I was a mess, throwing out random Ultras all over the place and all kinds of nonsense - I also had this thing fixed in my head from last time I played Bison where someone just jumped out of my U2 and it was like I had to do that everytime I saw the flash... even when you had U1 and had killed me 2-3 times with it.

I played Bloody Roar Primal Fury on the gamecube for a bit yesterday. I was a bat-man.
