Apparently ryan hart was making enigmatic remarks about a possible 2013 edition on twitter a little while back. It's probably nothing but idle speculation, but who knows, everyone thought we were lumbered with AE forever. I kinda hope they dont really change it. Barring buffs to T Hawk (he still needs a gun), maybe gief getting a knockdown back off banishing flats, all of ryu's costume colours being changed to subtly different shades of electric pink and blanka being removed from the game I don't actually think I'd want much different. It's been producing such entertaining tournaments of late.

Rog needs a proper pink costume too.

That guile match was excellent. I could see jellum getting more and more annoyed as it went along. You didn't put the glasses on after any of the flash kicks, though.

Taunt 7 is better than the shades thing. I'll try and work it into my Guile game a bit more though.

Also, has anyone noticed that Hegg's Guile has an air throw with SPD-like range? Is he using a Gameshark?

Might as well add the handful of characters left who didn't make it for AE. I want them to just repackage the game with cosmetic upgrades and more customisation options/stages/custom system direction lobbies and release it on day 1 of the next xbox launch. Then I'd be set for another entire console generation.

GGs to Jiro, Donut, Smithstock (briefly) and Qazimod, to whom I apologise for opening a match with a dozen empty neutral jumps. I say apologise; I'm going to do it for ever.

I was laughing on the inside.

Excellent games all; it was nice to get back into fun lobbying without wrestling with a vanilla controller. I wondered if someone would be playing Van Halen's "Jump" over their headset when I entered the lobby or something, but (most) people were merciful. :)

I was tempted by this though (sorry).

Edit: which is a tad rich of me as you gave me a good slap down last night until my dodgy router saved me :)

So I think I can probably do the 21st for Heggfest if we sort it quicksharp and I get big boss to give me his blessing to move my leave.

Also I just won five games in a row against JLM, started to think maybe I was unlocking my new character a bit and things were coming together, and he turned up the combo power to win eleven straight.

And Joffo, in case it wasn't clear while we both tried to explain over the mic at the same time, changing your team order doesn't change anything except your tactics for the game. But we both think that Skrull is a godlike "anchor" character because he benefits so much from level 3 X factor and doesn't need assists to mess people around, and we both think Morrigan would benefit from having an assist still alive to help her out a bit, so we think you should swap them around in the team order. We also both think that Wolverine would benefit from a horizontal assist - it might be worth experimenting with Morrigan's soul fist or Skrull's orbital whatever. You basically call the assist and then do his dash/teleport thing either to cross them up or not cross them up, then activate his beserker thingy and follow up with a full combo.

That's the theory anyway, from two dudes who have barely won a match against an non-rllmuker between them in six months of playing.

Hello. So yes my flatmate is moving out earlyish September which would mean that a new flatmate would potentially be moving in some time LATER in September. Probably on a weekend as is often the way, but I really can't be sure since it's all sorted, anyway.

Arg. I'm really not sure I can 100% guarantee any weekends, really, since it might be unreasonable for me to fill the place up with street-fightin'-men if someone is trying to move in/out, which will probably be happening various weekends in September.

Sorry guys, but if you want to do things around that time then it might be best that everyone didn't pin all their hopes on my place being free. I'd really like it to be, and it proooooobably will be (and obv people are more than welcome if my place is free) but it'd best to have other plans available just in case.

ggs! Lovely mad lobby with Plopboy, all around the cast. Sorry to miss the rest of yous.

That was after the beginner's sesh with my flatmate and his girlfriend, who asked me to show them the ropes. Lots of mashing, not a lot of blocking, bit of learning, lot of fun. He's already starting to get QCFs and says he wants to practice tomorrow, she mains Chun (mega) and is better at blocking. :D

SFIV with friends: it's low in sodium

Alternatively I guess we could look at hotel rooms. Or maybe just one big hotel room where we play street fighter 4 laptop edition all night.

Or we could do Heggfest Northwest and you can all sleep in a tent in my garden. I only have one xbox though and my cohabiting partner will probably say no to the idea anyway.

Yeah, I did wonder about getting a serviced apartment but the cheapish ones I know are all round the City and stuff. Anything round Chelsea way is going to cost us dearly.

There aren't many other weekends in September I could do, to be honest, but I'll see if I can fit in with whatever gets sorted out.

Imp have you thought about what you're going to do for a house-warming party?

Haha, well, I haven't signed anything for the new place yet (hopefully this weekend), so I don't want to agree to anything just yet (gotta ask permission from flatmates too), but I imagine I could accommodate a few people. I'm thinking Choo (who has already booked far in advance) + two on a sofa bed + two or three on floorspace, depending on people's willingness to sleep on the floor.
