I played ranked Marvel. I understand now why Yipes calls it "that crack" - as we have learned from Infinite Jest, pretty soon after you start doing it you realise that it is bad for you and it makes you unhappy but you still somehow can't stop yourself going back for one more.

Kids, say "no" to ranked matches. Don't become what I have become.

I got absolutely humped on ranked last night. The one match I won also saw me getting perfected in the second round. Saaaaaalt. That said, at least everyone who beat me had higher PP/BP.

I think I've pretty much stopped playing ranked now. I'm much happier as a consequence.

I just want to get better so I see playing better players as a good thing. For every 40,000 BP vortex Ibuki, there was a match where I'd have stood a chance if I played a bit more carefully and made an effort to react.

Of course that's also daft, I'm never going to be a tourney player so I should probably just try to enjoy it. I'll get lobbying later this week I'm sure.

Haha, oh man, had a good session with imp and Nate there, where Nate's evil Ryu finished me off with a fireball FADC Ultra (the uppercut one) from about half a screen away. It was beautiful.

Off-topic: I spent a wee bit of time last night on ranked and then went to finish Cody's trials (I've hardly finished any trials) and in the process of doing no. 24 (cr.LP, cr.MP xx Criminal Upper FADC cr.LP xx HK Ruffian FADC Ultra 1) realised I kept double tapping the MP + MK buttons along with the double tap on the stick to dash out of the FA. Don't know where that habit crept in, I wasn't even aware I was doing it but I stopped it and it made life much easier.

It has a SD slot apparently, so hopefully, yes. Looks lovely but really depends on the quality of the emulation, not to mention the stick build. Also, I think it only does HDMI and 'AV', so it sounds like it won't do RGB.

Also - what Camel said. The awesome thing about the Neo was the superb build quality (CD/CDZ aside).

Yes, I also do that double tapping thing. It's such a bad habit. FADC's become willdy unreliable.

Also I still have issues with FADC ultra on P1 side, feels so unnatural. Stupid game.

Didn't Carlumbo himself popularise the double FADC tap? I think it was something to do with FADC Ultras with Guile or Deejay...
