To be fair my experimental teams were all pretty free. I can't believe how many hours I've spent playing that game and I still don't really understand when it's okay to press buttons, or which directions to block.

I don't think I landed even the first half of my Spencer combo, which was disappointing. I played a few games against a random guy afterwards and won a couple here and there with various dudes. I kind of want a Ghost/Spencer team but can't figure out how to make it work without sacrificing Akuma at the back for someone far less fraudulent.

That thread is so embarrassing, particularly after Smexy Mills gets involved. The idea that people shouldn't mock Imstilldadaddy for behaving like a petulant child if they can't beat him up in real life is so utterly, utterly moronic. Also this idea that people shouldn't call you "free" at Streetfighter if they can't beat you up in real life is stupid. If you're a competitive, tournament attending sort of player, the response to someone saying you're rubbish at Streetfighter should surely be to get better at Streetfighter and prove them wrong. Other responses include laughing it off and getting on with your life or admitting that you are in fact rubbish at Streetfighter and then deciding how much of an impact that realisation should have on your self esteem.

Or you could take them outside and put it on them fam. I'm pretty sure that's what Daigo does when a Youtube commenter talks shit about him.

Also I would totally play in the proposed Ryu mirrors lobby at half ten or so.

Oh man, horrible night for me in ranked. I played this Irish guy who had nearly 4,000PP but was using Blanka with 0BP. 13 games later (I'm stubborn) and I've lost a good 800PP and like 600BP but I just don't get what T-Hawk is supposed to do against a good Blanka, Infexious was telling me about the 3 types of zones Blanka players use, the hop range, jump range and ball range and my spacing was pretty good but you simply can't get damage on him consistanly. the dive is so ineffectual in the match-up I almost never use it and when I do get in and knock him down I can't cross the green fucker up.

Eugh.

I like saying "Spwaaaiiinooowl" like the announcer does when you choose Spinal. Though that's likely one of those soundbites that's gotten totally warped beyond recognition in my head, like Arnie in Kindergarten Cop: "I do NAT have a Toooomaaah!".

As someone three years behind the curve on SFIV, I obviously approve of the idea of playing a day one game. What other events are planned for the Hegglympics, though? Presumably Rose Ball. Random select tourney? Other-player-picks-your-character matches?

Also someone mentioned doing Heggcellent Adventures on ranked, which sounded amazing. I like the idea of getting bodied then handing the stick to Jellum for the runback, like a little weasel kid who's friends with the bullies.
