My favourite thing is that he started neutral jumping a lot at the start of the round verses my balrog, so I decided to start forward dashing and doing cr.hp to beat this, and then he stopped and started countering this, so then I started with lp.dash which was what the neutral jump was meant to avoid. It was all so delightful.

Yes! The first time you opened with dash up cr. fierce to punish my neutral jump had me grinning like a loon. A god damn loon. That's all I hope for from any opponent. I don't expect everyone to be some high level tournament monster and I'm far from that myself, but any sign that the person I'm playing against is thinking about what they're doing and how to respond to what I'm doing makes the game so much more fun, and the rllmuk lobby folks still tend to do that much more consistently than the ranked masses.

Allystarr, stop hating and finish your chores so we can fight.

Someone play this wonderful game with me please. I've just learnt to kara command dash into Raida.

I just read that as 'kara command into Rada' and had the image of you breaking into the sound of music after the kara :)

My xbox, which is something wild like 3 years old, has begun making FURIOUS noise from the fan whenever I make it do so much as think even a tiny little bit. Why did microsoft build them out of tinfoil and hatred.

I shall be on at my usual late time this evening, slightly sweater and more knackered than usual due to the sultry heat in the office, with it's broken down air conditioning.

The 25th anniversary tournament qualifiers in Texas this weekend were entertaining in pretty much every game. Their twitch channel's front page looks to have spoilers in the video titles so if you like to mentally play along with the matches or you just like surprises then you'll be wanting to follow this link to the long archive:

GGs to smithstock and Plopboy; very entertaining matches :D It was nice to just mess around and try random bits and pieces, although I did sometimes go a bit nuts with Juri pressure games. Look forward to playing again soon.

GGs jellum and donut. Would've played longer but breaking bad finished downloading and now i must watch. I bloody well know how to anti-air yun's dive kicks with cammy, now. That's a fun matchup. I need to work on a few more setups, since cammy is nothing without frametraps and mine currently aren't very good. I'm enjoying the game a bit more since I decided not to play vega as my main. What a difference an invincble reversal can make!

Also I want it known for the record that about 2/3 of those random cannon spikes I do midscreen are when I'm trying to buffer cr.mk into spiral arrow after walking forward and input shortcuts decide that they hate me.

And yes, jellum was a tick throwin' fiend. I swear I teched about 2/3 of them as well, and shouted as much to the screen. But then I remember that crouch teching has a shorter tech window, and I shouldn't do it.

Let's all complain about Jason being too good at this game!

I saw him there last night and ran away scared to play Marvel instead. I now have a single Wolverine relaunch combo in my arsenal. Really need to learn Doom, I can't even do air combos with him because his air S (or H, can't remember) is a laser beam that doesn't connect. Might just drop him and go with the Wolvie/Ryu/Akuma team of my dreams, I reckon I could do with a straight projectile assist. As useful as hidden missiles are they keep messing up my combos.

Well, my combo. It's a good one!

Who's getting the Sexless X Tekfighter DLC today?

I bet it's LMH launch MMH xDrillClaw > dive kick > standing H, Launch. (I don't know marvel notation but I use that combo a lot. I'm too scared to play humans now though).

Also, is the SFxT DLC out already? I'll be getting it. I'll need to get some MS points, milk and tin foil from Tesco first.

Also also, I managed to beat JLM in a few fights yesterday, but he won far more back at me.

If you mean feeling sorry that you don't play enough marvel then yes. :D

Guys, I haven't had the internet for a week and wont have it until the start of September. Lunch break at work is the best I've got. It's horrific. Somebody hold me.

Have you given Trish a go, Nate? She's my absolute favourite fun fun fun character in the game, has jump x projectile xx hyper business and lovely normals. I'm complete toss with her, but that doesn't mean you will be.
