Best was when I tried an appalling rose halfscreen U1 against donut, and he went mad and mashed out yun's U1 in return, which doesn't go nearly far enough or have the invincibles, and he got totally wilded by her scarf.

Also I had a very nice game of roseball with imp last night.

Also also, how hard and expensive would it be to put and octagonal gate into my TE? I am still having execution issues and want to give an octo gate a try to see if I prefer it. L4dz?

Got my Rose to D+ this afty, between cleaning various bits of the house. About 50/50 win rate, including a mirror match where the first round was tight but the second was so free. Felt good. Was very pleased to land a couple of anti-air U2 > soul throws too, such fun.

GGs, sorry about suddenly disappearing Macmantis, looks like the lag had come. :(

That's ok, not sure I could have handled another bout against your Viper. Fucking brutal, man... GGs.

Should have paid attention to my Dan flow chart more.

Excellent games all round today.

Joffo and MacMantis first, highlight of which was Joffo hitting me with the loveliest of Dan combos, eclipsing all the fancy stuff I'd been doing to try and impress him.

Then I had many many games against GC Zombie, which was a rare treat because the internet gods do not usually allow such a thing. Guy mirrors, random select and me hitting that Gouken reset even though GC had read my posts about it on here and knew it was coming. I have a variant of it which I'll start using when everyone starts getting out of the first version, but I think continuing to use the same one is a mind game in itself at the moment because it makes people second guess themselves.

Lastly, twenty or so games of Dudley vs Makoto against Donut, which was possibly even more fun than last time. So much damage, so much stun, and just one EX thunderbolt chip win. I'm confirming jabs into good damage a little bit more consistently every time I have a long set playing Dudley now. He's the only character I bother to sit in training mode and do reps of combos with because I'd love to be very consistent at them, and I reckon it's starting to pay off. One of the best matches was early on in the set, where the first round was a bit of a back and forth mess of little note, then the second saw Donut activate beast mode and rip me to pieces, and in round three I did the same back to him. Summed up how that match goes between us quite nicely.

JLM has been doing some pretty consistently lovely stuff and I've been thoroughly entertained. My favourite being the meaty and counterhit tricks his Gouken destroyed me with. Had some ace and hilariously hectic games with MacMantis too; good times were had.

I'm going to obsess over that Ibuki pdf in the hope of learning some option selects, finally.

I have a single, delightful, offensive option select. It makes me feel all excited and thrilled when I land it, as though I'm some kind of next-level street fighter savant, instead of a man wearing sweaty bedtime trousers pressing two buttons at once instead of one.

Also I urgently need to get my frame traps down because I urgently need to start frametrapping jiro. At the moment my frametraps seem to involve me getting counterhit by one of his jabs, which is a suboptimal outcome.

Also also (also): who wants to crash round mine again at 'eggfest?

Will your phone run out of battery and I have to wait outside east putney tube for you for half an hour again, as hegg sends me increasingly desperate texts whilst all alone in his office playing ranked at 9pm on a Friday.

Ha; I'll charge it this time. I have a different phone. And I have an extended battery on the 3DS so I won't have to resort to playing a tiny 10fps version of Worms on my phone for entertainment.

But just think of all the amusing anecdotes you'll now not have for this year. Shame.

It was worse than that. He was stuck with me for company.
