I've probably not got the friday of Heggfest off, so I'll likely be mega-bussin' it down overnight to get there on the Saturday mornin', early. Stinking of travel. NSMB 2 will be out by then, so I guess I'll spend the entire time trying to collect one million coins and elbowing whatever stranger gets on at Carlisle.

Back on topic; there's a Taco Bell in the Arndale centre in Manchester now, apparently. That's three in the UK. Anyone tried it? I'm very aware it's probably horrible. I want a Taco Bueno. Taco Muchaco! Also, there's a Krispy Kreme road trip coming to Glasgow, which hopefully means I won't have to get my once yearly fix from London Victoria station.

Yes, GGs! Thanks nuskool, I was paranoid that my monitor was fucked because I didn't have any sound coming out of my speaker for the entire duration of the set with Cale. Managed to get it back by switching the 360 off and on again, and then the whining noise started so I assumed I was doomed because Friday the 13th.

Nate did a lovely Seth thing last night. Catching his opponent with the second part of cr.HP in the air, juggling with DP, then stomps :)

Oh, and look at how much damage that Seth combo stubbornly refuses to do.

GG's to all last night. I thoroughly enjoyed myself and felt like I at least clawed back some of my ability to not do all of the stupid things possible in that game. Ended the night going back and forth with random character selects that got a bit scrappy but was still fun.

As mentioned on Voice last night... this is happening:

Street Fighter - Assassins Fist: Live action series on the way!

Should be around later for more games. Hopefully I can continue my good fortune from last night. Apologies for Ken'ing you Joe... but I needed my revenge somehow ;)

Forgot to mention, that high-pitched noise happened to me as well. I spent about half an hour fiddling with my TV and console, convinced there was some sort of resonance problem with my glass table :lol:

You have a glass table? Pervy bugger.

A wild thing happened when nate picked blanka (banned at heggfest) against my cammy, and due to high level mindgames that were going on he did a blanka ball on my wakeup and I backdashed and he gaily sailed through me to the other side. I was somewhat confused.

also that is beautiful. who is he blizzarding at the end, is it guile

On a similar oddness level, because of the invicibility on backdashes you can backdash to cause a HP Ryu Super to go right through you. No one ever really does a raw Ryu super these days though, but it's a neat party trick if you're playing against your silly friends who don't know what they're doing.

Haha, it must be, because it's not even as if you played a turtling Guile or anything; you were rushing him down like mad in that first round. Imagine how frustrated he must have been as you deliberately teased yourself out of HP range. Poor Joshua.

Oh dear - I played him the other night as DeeJay. I fell for everything I shouldn't have and got bodied as a result. You went about it the right way though - you can't afford let Seth in because when you do it's not fun for the person who isn't using Seth.

Epic lobbies with Haggar. Donut, Nate, joe et al last night. I think I only won one match but I still had fun. :) I really have to learn to be more patient and stop being so greedy with my dive kicks; I'm pretty confident with my positioning and can usually land light dives in the right place for a bait, but I always pre-empt openings that aren't there, and then everything gets blocked, and then I die.

Also, props to Nate for adopting the "Juri cube" icon, which is really the only icon to use in profiles. :P

I downloaded some old GamesMaster recently and he was on there playing Tekken 1 or something, it was quite jarring.

I bought a PS3 today and I don't really know why. Now I plan to read a lot of guides about how to dual-mod my TE before getting frustrated and buying a Qanba.
