this Oni keeps going for some BnB that clearly doesn't hit crouchers, but it hasn't stopped him. Oh man. It's like watching myself play or something

I won't get to watch much more, but I'll try to watch some finals live, cos I've never done that before.

Oh Daigo how I love thee. Uppercut Uppercut Uppercut FADC Ultra. I will uppercut you until you learn to block. By the final round he had almost conditioned the Xbox Liveness out of that Blanka. Still not fully because the guy was a reversal machine, but close to it.

Loved LI Joe's wake up pressure in the early going there. Bison has that ludicrous array of wake up options, and LI Joe spent the first round convincing him not to use any of them. Fake roundhouse, fake roundhouse, twitch, wait, throw. Superb.

Sherm had that set on multiple occasions. That Poongko factor of being surprised when you land a solid hit or punish in amongst the constant pressure gets him out of a lot of sticky situations. He earns it by playing like such a crazy man though. I liked Sherm's approach of sitting and being willing take the SPD. It got him a few big punish opportunities because by blocking at those times when the uppercut is the crazy option and Poongko is oddly more likely to do it.

Incredibly high quality set from Dakou and Mike Chow there. I know Mike Chow is good, but I didn't think he'd force Dakou to counter pick. The two Chinese players (Dakou and Xiaohai) are both capable of top 8 finishes, but Mike gave him a real scare here. Faking the roll input and then doing a same side step kick was a tremendous mix up. Dakou's footsies when he switched to Fei were insane though, walking in and out of step kick range seemingly by pixels. His corner control was nuts too. Great play from both.
