I like the idea that backing yourself into the corner and staying there is considered unfair play! :D

I love how you can almost see the rage coming during that final round in Imp's vid! Excellent.

How on earth does he have all those pp? As far as I can tell he just jumps in from neutral, wild's on tiger uppercut a lot and throws out lots of random ex knees into horribly unsafe uppercut/throw mixups. And since he never fadc's a single uppercut, you might as well just take every throw, because you can just massively punish the uppercuts.

And, for a sagat player, can't zone for shit. I don't think he anti-aired you once.

It's because he's a Sagat player - not that he's imbalanced, just when playing at a relatively low skill level Sagat has the damage and range to win you a lot of games when you don't really know what you're doing.

Amazing stuff, Imp. I love how you did nothing random whatsoever.

Very disappointed reading that Seth thing. Calling people scrubs, losers, morons and retards makes him just as annoying as the people he is addressing.

Yes, he's totally losing his shit during that final round, evidenced not only by the jump ins but also because all of imp's hits are counter hits caused by wild angry flailing. I'd love to see his inputs to know if he was mashing his brains out during the stun or had already begun composing his missive. Amazing video either way, what a pathetic man.

Agreed, it's that kind of attitude that I find the least appealing about the community.

You see some really personal and nasty stuff like this: (spoilered because it's not really worth your time!)

The guy with the short hair is Metallic Mike, one of the guys who goes to the fight club at my Uni.

He's also pretty good, having recently taken a tournament from Ryan Hart in the finals, but that doesn't stop him being a bit unsavoury at times :(.

The video is directly aimed at the other chap but you'll probably agree it's not too convincing.

The guys at the club are a friendly bunch most of the time, it's just sad when this type of stuff infects the group's atmosphere.

I've barely been to it in the last year....

Yes! I was just thinking how amusing it would be to see his inputs during the last round. I would wager that he was pressing every button, direction and the dashboard button all at once.

My apologies of this is a re-post but I'm feeble brain doesn't recall seeing these words in here, anyway.

Visiting a couple of old 3S haunts I tripped across the old Japanese Uriden.log. He used to put up a lot of POPY 3rd Strike stuff up but I noticed these days he's got stuff up for P4U and SFIV.

Specifically for SSFIV:AE they've had a big 5on5 called 'Starting Over: Concentration of Power'. May's event with brackets and videos: http://blog.goo.ne.j...gecchi/m/201205

His YouTube channel has all the goods: http://www.youtube.c...gecchi79/videos

Hopefully this is news to you boys. If not, ah well.

Yeah, just Super. 700+ hours on Vanilla SFIV as well. You'd think I'd be a fair bit better than I am, really. I still really enjoy it though; what a curse.

I'll likely only play for another half hour then it's puttin' a wash on, sailor jerry 'n' Breaking Bad series 2. Maybe some cheeky Boom Street.

After I stumble home drunk tonight and challenge whoever is still awake, I will upload that last round with inputs.

Also I love breaking bad. Can watching that be a side tournament at heggfest?

You look too young to have child aged 18. Especially in your avatar pic.

I had a bunch of games with Mr iBunta in endless there, and twas a fine time indeed until my phone rang and the internet died. Sadness. Lovin' the tricky Rose nonsense though, and the tricky ochio madness!

I thought those games were ace. No faults whatsoever.

I dunno if you noticed or not, but I think there is something up with my router of late. My internet has been dropping quite frequently, and I think there were times when my character was like half a second behind the inputs. Certainly been laggier than usual the last week. My execution has been ass recently though, so it could also be that. I think the highlight was when I blocked a cody ultra, and intended to DP FADC ultra with ken, for no other reason than I had the meter, and instead my punish was an FADC'ed jab.

The score wasn't really representative of what happend! your chun is fair decent, and gave my rose quite a run for her money at the start. and then random select was extremely kind to me, and only gave me people I was comfortable with. I think that maybe you're the same as me, and grew up largely on SF2, and focus attacks are a bit strange, right? I'm sure we both went entire matches without focussing, and chun has quite a decent one for approaching. And normally you'd have caught me with more of the random ultras, but I've been on ranked a bit more lately, and that does rather teach you to block a lot of other people's wakeup!

Guys, I am done.

I have peaked. Also don't forget to look out for the signature imp hay fever sniff.

Actually, I don't think I played very well at all (look at all those jump ins I failed to anticipate / srk) despite some decent reads in the last round.

Never mind all that, what's going on in that video? You wavy-TV owning kunt.

My woefully unsurprising top 3:

Makoto - 2660

Seth - 1455

DeeJay - 463

Bottom 3:

Gief - 13

Juri - 13

Guy - 10

Total play time - 722:28 - but that's just 360 alone, might be more on PS3.

I didn't notice the lag, but then I am and was drunk.

You're spot on about my habits - grew up with the SNES games, and a bit later my local arcade (it was in a corner shop! Imagine that now!*) had a big-ass SFEX cabinet, and also an SFIII one but they got rid of it because no-one played it (I remember trying Dudley and Hugo). Since then I bought SFEX+a and the Alpha collection when I had a PS2, but only really played against the computer on a pad. So yeah, focus attacks seem weird, even when I land them I never dash cancel and just do some stupid shit. Focus > backdash seems like a good way to avoid crappy jump-ins, but my fingers are never up for it. That said, old motions die hard - I missed more Ultra inputs in training thinking hard about it than I did in those matches.

*It also had a sit-down Tekken 3 cabinet, Die Hard Arcade, and Killer Instinct put into a cab with four buttons so you couldn't do Orchid's Ultra combo. Everything 10p per credit. I swear I didn't imagine this.

Turns out I stopped paying any attention to tennis at the end of the 90s and only recognise about 5 names in the ATP top 100 now, whereas in the 1999 list it's about 20. "Interesting".

I tried to think of more but drifted off into Pokémon tennis puns instead. Arantxa Sanchez Lucario, Pete Lapras, and so on. You could also go down the Zelda route and have Goron Ivanisevic.

Feel free to send me to the losers racquet for that.
