I guess I think I'm pretty funny what with my constant mashing SPDs through blockstrings and assorted raw ultra "mixups", and Jason must be cool or he would've stopped playing with me after the fourth fraudulent win in a row tonight.

I am still reeling from the amazing scenes last night, to be honest. I did Fuerte's 24th trial! Tonight I did some other trials and they weren't quite as difficult. I have some monsters left, though. There is a Fei trial where you start and finish the combo with a chickenwing - I'm lucky if I can do one per match, let alone two in one combo. And of course I still suck at FADCs, so it should come as no surprise that Ken, Akuma, Sakura and Dan are still on the list to complete. I did Sagat's double-FADC trial tonight though, and Seth's. Dan has a really weird and interesting one which you guys have probably all talked about two years ago: cl.MP linked into uppercut, then FADC, jump and do airborne EX dan kicks before tagging on an ultra? too much interestingness in there for one Dan. And the Adon one I'm not looking forward to because I seem to recall already having spent ages trying to do it. And of course Viper and Ibuki. Gah. 98.21% complete, apparently.

Thanks for the game Donut, but I'm not sure what happened after that. I watched your fight with the mayor and then I couldn't ready up and then got disconnected ? How very odd, though my internet connection has been a little odd tonight.

Maybe next time my lucha libre skills will beat you or maybe not :)

After you left donut went something like 8-0 against my fucking appalling ryu, and then I just went random and went 8-0 against donut. The amount of times he caught me pushing buttons with makoto's U2, I swear that thing's faster than a command grab. Including an utterly spectacular wakeup ultra with guy vs seth, and a round as adon vs bipson that actually made me salty even though I won.

I think we were both furious and in large huffs at different points of the night.

Woke up this morning pretty early, despite it being my day off, and thought, "Fuck it; I'm gonna go get Max Payne 3". Had a quick shower, didn't even use conditioner, only towel dried my hair, dragged on a pair of jeans, a tshirt and a jumper I'd already worn for a couple of hours last night and headed out, brazen. I've been sitting here playing it for the past few hours, shooting men in the head because Resident Evil 4 taught me that men who speak spanish (Portugese! -Ed) are evil. I put some chips and onion rings in the oven, didn't even check the calories first, and I'm sitting drinking a coke straight from the can. I'm a man's man. Max Payne is good.

Also I am quite horribly bad at Max Payne 3, I am dying so, so much.

Haha, I did that too!

I raked through his achievements as well; he's dived straight into the multiplayer to bully folks, it seems.

I'm curious to know how you usually dry your hair Mr Cakes.

I'm at home today feeling like utter, utter crap and I can't muster the energy to play a fighty fighty game. I played Fez for a bit though, and my oh my, it's lovely.

Fez is lovely. In hindsight I feel that maybe the puzzles, as obtuse as they were, are a little shallow, but I certainly enjoyed them at the time so it's not a real complaint.

I am not ashamed to admit that I blow dry my hair, as it speeds the process up. I balance out the emasculation of the act be only using a hairdryer if it is shaped like a gun. I also make sure that any hair products I buy are advertised using words like 'science' and 'power' rather than 'nurturing' or 'soft' to ensure maximum masculinity.

I might pick up Max Payne 3 next week when I get paid but I'm still smarting after forking out huge amounts of cash to get our car (which I never drive) MOT'd and then fixed and from paying some bloke to climb around on our roof and now our dishwasher's fucked and the floor in the kitchen needs replaced. Jesus sometimes I wish I could go back to being a carefree yout with no responsibilities.

Also, my road tax is over £200. My mum's road tax is £20. WTF? Not like we've got a fucking Humvee.

Some cyclists take their smug item onto trains and those are the ones that make me the angriest.

Also, I haven't blow dried my hair for about 20 years. Sometimes I just let it do it's own thing, straight from the shower. Raw hair. I just don't give a fuck.
