I've built up quite a tolerance for smoking, to the point where I gave it up as a New Year's resolution because it became less fun and I was getting bored of it rather than enjoying it, but when I went to Amsterdam it was oddly the space cakes that took me out. Must be something about the way it metabolises, but we wasted half an afternoon by going back to the hostel to nap for a couple of hours because we all ceased to function after a couple of muffins. Ridiculous.

The main thing I took away from the coffee shops was an addiction to Chocomel. What a beautiful beverage. I think if I'd stayed for longer than five days I'd be morbidly obese too. There are so many of those shops that sell giant pizza slices and cakes. There'll be alleyways where there are two of them opposite each other, one claiming to be a kebab house and the other a pizzeria, and they both just sell massive pizzas and cakes. It's like they know there are stoned people around.

Are they changing the laws on truffles and the like? We also wasted an afternoon trying in vain to find the zoo.

1) Decide to go to zoo.

2) Consume shrooms.

3) Try to locate zoo.

This is not the correct order!. No sir.

I think the ban comes in at the end of this year, Nate. I need to find a way to get there before that that's cheap but not nasty. I'm thinking a couple of steps above being imported inside a container full of prospective man whores.

And I know what you mean about the space cakes thing, Jason. Back when I was a heavy partaker it was always the eating of cakes or brownies that used to take me apart.

Not sure I got involved with Chocomel but I remember getting very, very excited about the special milkshakes they sold in Abraxas. Mmmm.

I've only had one pre-order t-shirt and that was for Persona 4. IIRC it was pretty small. But then I'm pretty tall. As you may remember from Hegg's button tapping convention.

It arrived!

I was told it started on May 1, but Wikipedia says it hasn't come into effect yet. The tobacco thing is weird. We just ended up smoking outside all the time which kind of defeats the whole 'keep it discreet' thing they try to promote.

tbh I was mostly excited about finding Geuze Boon - my favourite beer - in abundance.

Chocomel is just as beautiful heated up as hot chocolate with some whipped cream on top as it is ice cold out of a can. It comes in all formats so you don't need to drink anything else.

I think it's come into force in some other provinces but not amsterdam yet. Also I believe that you are no longer allowed mushrooms, but they're fantastically easy to get hold of so it's really not that big of a deal.

Bizarrely, when I lived in the netherlands for about 4 whole months the other year I didn't get stoned once, yet whenever I visit for a weekend I spend the entire time in a fugue state.

I think I'm going to look into Hakan for HF2012. Seth is definitely my anti hegg character. I forgot to save that replay where it came down to the last hit on the 3rd round. Boom FADC dash toward, ready for the SPD. Hegg reacted with sonic hurricane. I mashed ultra like it's going out of fashion. I win! I spent a good minute chuckling to myself after that.

Seth is a horrible bastard.

Last nights little session was wonderful, thanks to all. Really brought the love back. Big hugs to Donut, I do very much enjoy the sets. I swear Seth spends more time with his feet off the ground than on. That should be in his stats page somewhere - "time spent flying around kicking Hegg in the face".

I've tried and tried to get my head around SFxT but for the life of me I don't get it. There's too much going on, things look like they should hit but don't, and don't look like they should hit but do, and I cry. Still really messed up to me. I'll keep on trying, but I think IV is too engrained on my psyche.

I shall be on more and more from now on. Excite.

Cheers to everyone for fights - was sad to wait patiently in the lobby with Hegg, Donut and Nate only to get kicked out half way through my first match. Joined another lobby later but had dodgy connections all night - at one point Donut's showed zero bars. Finished up with with a few games vs. Joeplus. What a lovely evening.

Yep, cheers Jiro! My first time back on this for ages - you came out well on top but I was pleased to keep it half competitive with a few different mans. Seems Strekken hasn't totally ruined me (although I did go for boost combos a lot and you probably saw me jiggling about as I failed to pull out random Ultras. I've not QCFx2'd in at least six weeks).

Enjoyed picking Guile. Never really tried him before so I just went with what I've learned from rllmuk and held down-back to the point of stupidity.
