Good set of trollfighter with Donut just now. I don't know if we're capable of having real matches any more but it was still much fun as ever. Maybe a FT10 of some kind is in order for next time.

I played a bit of Public Lobby Fighter because I didn't know what anyone else was doing. :P I got bodied pretty badly because I kept taking stupid risks and falling for really obvious stuff, but it feels amazing after coming back from SF x Tekken - I can actually block stuff again. :D Might see if I can get some more games in later this week.

Rusty ggs to everyone! Thanks to Jellum for reminding us what this game is like the hard way (with a sound thrashing!). Also Haggar for the infuriating Vega footsies and Donut for the confusing dashing everywhere. Also no thanks to Imp for being stabby. Feels weird for sure, if only the games weren't so similar in other ways... Too many fighting games and not enough time!

Had some fun games with randoms and also some classic Juri vs Ryu with Pockets where I still fired off the most obvious divekicks and had everything blocked. Still, at least I had time to rant to Pockets about how rubbish I am at SFxT. Also ended up with one of my first matches of the evening being against a B-rank Yun but despite eating a nasty Genei-Jin corner combo and then messing up my Ultra in the second round I managed to take the match thanks to a few lucky openings,

Anyway, it's good to be back on AE. As much as I enjoy things like Pair Play sessions in SFxT, there are lots of times when I feel like the stuff I'm doing should be more effective than it is, but in AE everything seems to make sense and I feel more responsible for my own rubbishness. Perhaps.

Had a wee lobby with JLM last thing, last night. Just a 1/2 hour before bed but it was fun. I'd managed to win most of my fights with Vega on ranked beforehand, literally clawing back some PP, not that it matters but meant I was in a good mood. Anyway me and Jellellumm both debuted our top-secret new characters. How exciting! Except mine was a stinky Bison.

I'd love to join in the Heggcellent Adventures - my big sis lives in that London, and has offered to flat swap with us during Notting Hill Carnival so we can be in the thick of it and she can escape - I don't suppose Heggfest would happen around then? Might have a hard time explaining to my wife why I'm packing the TE.

Last time we did it in late September (around the 25th I think it was?)

I can't do the first week of August or the last week of August, but other than that I don't have much booked in advance because I am not an organised man.

Jiro we have to stop both playing mostly the same characters. Especially since I think you're largely better than me with the ones I do play.

I guess it's largely up to you when we do it Heggy, since it'll be in your office. Avoiding the olympics would be ideal. I'm not really away anywhere this summer, so people can crash at mine as per last time.

I would suggest somewhere between late June-mid july, for optimal mixture of warmth and no athletes. Avoiding the weekend 7th July due to my birthday.

I think I could possibly house some people too depending on their tolerance to floors/sofas/ghetto mattresses on the floor and/or being near Choo (bleurgh). Oh I guess it's also dependent on something wildly awful not happening - like not getting kicked out by my Landlord so he can rent the house to Olympics tourists at a high price.

EDIT: Please do not have the fest of hegg on the weekend of the 23rd of June. I have a Weddin' to attend. 3rd of June too, but I don't think it would be that soon would it?

Every now and then when I get the 14 nightbus home at 3am, horribly drunk, I look lovingly at the still-lit EDITED TO PROTECT THE INNOCENT offices on the road as I sail past, and think of Hegg steadfastly working away at their latest AAA entertainment product, and a part of me wants to hop off the bus and ask if he fancies a quick T-Hawk mirror.

Oh, actually, we should totally do a mirror-match tournament. Everyone has to pick T-Hawk, and we can finally discover one and for all which of us has the greatest t-hawk.

Also do the same with Dan.

I'd love to have an all Dan thing, because I mostly mained Dan only toward the end. Though that was also the case for Rufus when Alistarr destroyed me in that mirror also.

I'd like Heggfest to be a decent way in the future so I can let the lady know I'm going and be there for the duration, rather than having to leave early-ish like last time because it conflicted with other commitments. I'd still get a poverty-bus down though, for nine hours; it just wouldn't feel right otherwise.

Also, why is Hegg so eggcellent?
