How old is the TE? Try swapping the wires for another button first before you attempt replacing it. My day one TE PCB is rubbish, I've only got 6 working buttons now.

Ha yes. The recent calls on my phone told me I had called you. The background noise was my office. if you listen carefully you can probably hear me sobbing gently at my keyboard.

Thanks for this, Donut. Thing is, it hasn't died completely. It's just a bit flaky. The button feels a bit 'soft' so I think it's pretty much a knackered button.

Can you say what game you're working on yet? It would cause me the maxiumum amount of pain if you couldn't. Assuming it's that one. Is that one out soon?

Also everyone who stayed at mine last time would be welcome to stay again. I've smashed a light fitting since last time, so the place looks pretty different.

Ah, OK - you can disassemble the offending button and wipe off whatever gunk is causing that. You should be able to pop the plunger part out without having to take the whole thing out of the stick too.

Ooh I'll try that then. Weird if it's gunk causing it though as it hasn't been in that long. Cheers.

Is everyone back on this then? Will I have to dust off my raggedy Cody and beautiful Chun? (By which I mean come in a lobby, constantly try to use boost combos and get absolutely bodied)

I've kind of been back on this for a while now [/hipster] after having trouble controlling my sodium levels in Strekken. I'm always happy to join in lobby funs if I can ever remember to show up (and if my connection feels like behaving...)

I foolishly played drunk last night and gained then lost loads of PP. Had a couple of mirrors vs. a ridiculously good Vega who just knew what I was going to do at every step and almost double perfected me.

Might be on later the nicht. Braw.

I had a go this morning, but only managed one ranked match as it was dead as a door nail. The match was ok and I managed a win but the victory felt very hollow. I managed to sneak the first round and then took a massive life lead in the second but then I just froze and fumbled about getting hit all over the place. Luckily I pulled myself together and got the win but it just felt wrong.

I'm still enjoying elf but i really need to practice more and learn to connect with HK cancel into Guacamole as RSF is a bit beyond my humble skills.

I quite want to come back to this to learn balrog. How busy is it at the moment?

On Friday morning I put it on fight request and only had one fight in 5 rounds of arcade and fr was set to anywhere. I think the evening is busier obviously but from my games over the last few weeks it does seem a bit quiet.

Excellent, I love both of those players.

I still haven't seen almost anything from Power Up or Civil War, and now SS and Seasons Beatings will be on the list of things to watch. I'm never going to catch up at this rate.

Recently aquired this for Windows Live, I'm very impressed. I've been playing Honda and Vega in the original SF4, but are either still viable?

I think they're pretty solid picks. Vega's definitely better than he was in the original, not sure about Honda as he's been tweaked a fair bit in the Super series.

Some good matches there with Donut exposing some bad habits I've got into and need to correct if I'm ever going to get better at this. I go for throws on wake up faaar too often and focus more than is sensible, need to play more cautiously all round really.

Every time I tried to throw you on wakeup you teched it! I just realised I didn't go into tick throw mode with DeeJay once. Must be a Jellum thing.

Oh and Seasons Beatings:

Infiltration's Gouken completely dominating an FT7 against Dieminion! Nicely done.

Oh I'm a wakeup tech monster no doubt. That's because I'm going for it 90% of the time, every one of those half dozen Abare Tosamanis I took was a throw attempt :D

I'm skimming through the Shadowloo stream archive now, those Chinese guys are no joke are they? I thought the Cammy looked great early on but once Dakou dropped Fei and went back to Ryu you can see why he's so highly regarded too. Oh this game.
