Ultra Street Fighter IV

I got Yang in random select against Patronsaint at Hypespotting and I had absolutely no idea what I was supposed to do with him. But then it turned out he had a ridiculously easy link into rekkas so I just used that.

Do first rekka > Make cup of tea, check website of choice, wonder if it will be sunny tomorrow or if you're better off staying up late and having a lie in > Do second rekka > FADC > BUTTONS!

I've never actively picked Yun, but Yang I like picking even though I'm terrible with him and can never get that last bit of the combo right.

This isn't the Skyrim thread cale. You must be lost.

That's right, I'm bustin' chops.

Boy, am I glad I have my fire resistance amulet on. Saved me from a pretty savage burn right there.

You are totally right though. I blame Strekken. I'm too scared to play it now so all I do is lurk in the thread occasionally thinking, 'I should give this a go again'. I probably won't though. Will I still be allowed to attend Heggfest III: Heggstravaganza?

Apologies for my ignorance but I've never got into a fighter before but fancy this game. I've noticed you can get it on PSN for £11.99 but do I need a hard copy of the game and this is extra content or will this on PSN be a full game so I download it then play straight away?

Thanks in advance.

There are two releases of Super Street Fighter IV, one called just that, one with Arcade Edition in the title. You want Arcade Edition. The AE update was paid DLC for the original version so make sure it isn't just that they're selling. I don't have PSN to check.

Just to make it even more confusing you'll hear talk of AE Version 2012, happily this was delivered in the form a free patch so you don't need to worry about that so much.

Capcom!

Many thanks for reply. It is a bit confusing :)

I was messing around with my router again last night with the intention of putting the xbox in the DMZ as Trials Evolution was telling me I had a strict NAT. I wasn't able to figure out the DMZ stuff (wired the xbox directly into an ADSL Thomson t585 v7 router) so I just tried port forwarding again, cleaning everything I messed around with before off and starting again, so it's now telling me my NAT is Open.

Basically I want to fight against JLM; the ultimate test of network functionality.

I get the feeling that Haggar's efforts to accept my invites are the ultimate test of our networks sometimes. :(

That other game is good fun at the moment but I can see myself being drawn back to this in the future...

I had a pretty awesome street fighting day today. First of all I found some amazingly ghetto arcade setups in Bangkok with AE. They are so ghetto they're actually just a ps3 in a box connected to a super laggy 27" LCD screen mounted in a home-made cab, with really unresponsive buttons and a stick with about double the throw of a jlf.

Anyway, the way it works is that you put in a coin and that enables the buttons - so you can press start and challenge the other player in arcade mode (only once so you can't pause mid round).

So the guy there was a Ken, and it was set to best of 5. I was Akuma. He was a masher, and I'm afraid to say he hit me with Ultra 1 in three rounds as I tried to jump over after a block string. Silly me. Anyway I remembered to block the last round and finished him off with a raging demon. He rage quit the arcade.

Also, after being disappointed that Dark Souls Design Works wasn't in at the import bookstore yet, I consoled myself with a 20th anniversary street fighter art book. It's amazing. Much better than the japanese super iv book I bought last year, or any of the udon collections. Loads of amazing full page illustrations from the likes of akiman and nishimura kinu. The paper is lovely too. I will post pics later, right now I am in a car, and it's very dark.

Road worrier. (yes).

I'm really happy with it - it's mostly single or double page full pieces of publicity and packaging art from the major SF eras (2, 3, Alpha, vs SNK), but there are some cool old design sketches, and evn a few fan bits and bobs towards the end. It's fucking huuuge too!

It's way better than the Megaman book I got as well.

Imp's book looks lovely and so does your embroidererered thing Hegg. My phone tried to autocorrect Hegg as Jeff imagine if that was your real name. You should ask your girlfriend to do a Fez sampler with a pic and the alphabet underneath like what ladies used to do. It would be amazing.
