GGs to Donut for the fightings - all good fun. It's kind of nice when I'm running a public lobby and losing badly before a rllmuk player (Donut in this case) drops in and exposes folk. :D Props to joeplus for the games too; your Cody is awesome. :) A shame that the connection was playing up a little, but we still had some ace matches. Oh, and during the games I got the "Endless Lobbyist" achievement for creating 30 sessions. I haven't touched ranked for months now and just create public lobbies all the time, so the achievement was kind of inevitable. :P

Really? I've found them to be pretty reasonable for a central pub that isn't a wetherspoons... As long as I stay away from the Blue Moon, that stuff will bankrupt me, but that can be said for most pubs that serve it.

I'm pretty sure my greatest talent in Street Fighter is pressing one, maybe two buttons. That and dashing into people while they're knocked down. I'm really good at that.

It's unsettling when this thread drops off the front page.

I've played Street Fighter for about 1.5hrs over the last 10 days. That's like 90 minutes out of 14,400 or 0.625% of the available time. Allowing for sleep then that's more like 0.9375%. Less than 1% - that's not on. Bearing in mind I'm rubbish at arithmetic something is clearly wrong and I must take steps to remedy it.

We had this guy called Dr.Bike (well, it was actually two guys) at our work on Monday doing free services on bicycles, so I left my bike with them only to be told when I went to pick it up that it's a deathtrap - the rear rims are so worn they're bowing out from the pressure of the inner-tube and apparently I risk them exploding like a joke cigar, possibly lacing my calves with jagged metal strips. "I wouldn't use your rear brake, mate." Dr.Bike A confided in me. It's £75 for a new wheel, and with priorities like SFxT my bike's going to be off the road for a bit.

Cycling home that night was exciting. Anyway, the next day I stupidly decided to run the 6 miles into work. Then after work I ran home. Today my legs are absolutely fucked. With hindsight it was a stupid thing to do. The point of all this is to say that I can genuinely think of nothing better to soothe my pain than, when I get home to put my feet up and lose (ha!) myself in a few hours of Street Fighter.

Street Fightin'.

I'm just in training (yes hard to believe I know) but I practicing my execution on the ultra and I notice that the name of the character and ultra is appearing just above the super meter. Has this always happened? or was is it new with the update that just happened?

Yo guys, at my work we've produced a short charity film, and on watching the final cut I realised that the main actress looks exactly like a female Shin Akuma. No cuss, she's a good actor and doesn't look like a man or anything, but she's got the exact same stocky build, a tanned and craggy face, dark red hair in a similar style, and she spends the whole film wearing purple. It's funny watching this touching, profound film and thinking "yeah, but she could kara demon at any second".

Actually, they should release a DLC pack that swaps all the characters' genders. Most of the cast would basically be Amazons, but Electric She-Hulk, ITV Bad Girl, skinny dickhead in a suit from a creative agency, the mythical "Feminazi", and a schoolboy would be fun to play as.

The name of the Ultra appearing has been in since SSF4

Heh. Well, if you're curious as to how Abel's would turn out, he was originally going to be a young female character and this is the concept art for it:

A short, female grappler would have been awesome. All using her low centre of gravity and muscular torque to bust up some cumbersome Zangiefs (sorry guys but I hate Zangief so much).

Anyway, I'm pissed off, my internet is still laggy as fuck. I was getting great connections til this week. Jumped on rank and got utterly humped by an Ibuki, who then messaged "fu loser and take your lag with you!". I replied "classy".

I've spent all day playing with my Vita. The 3G's failing me and I didn't buy any games, but I've been enjoying the demos. I'll have to get my Marvel on soon...

Had an absolute nightmare on this last night. Horribly laggy matches, and an endless stream of Ryu and his evil counterpart. Snuck a win in a mirror match at the end of the night against a guy with 2200PP which brought mine back up to about 950 but I was down to about 450 at one point. Terrible stuff.

Who - minus the gi - I always felt should've been Abel.

Really glad they didn't stick with that design; Rufus is utterly amazing and that one is a little... drab.

I got a new TV last night and used good old SF4 to test it out. It really is still a lovely looking game. It's nice to be able to read the text. Also; the health above the heads of your worms in Worms 2.

Yeah, I'm not exactly sure why they thought the Abel they went with was better than this one.

Also, I remember hearing that this isn't a girl from somewhere. Just one of those really feminine looking dudes with a haircut destined to confuse the matter even further.

Wasn't it the opposite? That it looks like a boy because of bandages covering where her feminine qualities should be? I can't see the image in work so I dunno if that's the same one.

Also, wasn't the kid in Balrog's ending in Vanilla (and maybe in Super) a similar design? I guess it was just another of Bison's bodies, like Abel was. Being a kinda runty kid created purely to be a super soldier is pretty excellent, but at least Abel likes dogs.
