GGs to all this evening! I think it's important I state for the record before anyone else joined Pockets had me at 10-0 or so.

Got my "three for the road" achievement though! Baby steps. Focusing gave me a proper headache, the few times I landed one I freaked out and kept neutral jumping (?!) instead of hitting them :lol:

Amazing games everyone; I had awesome fun. :D Sorry if I went a bit nuts with the taunting but it was all in jest (and as ever I tried to offer free hits if I accidentally hit someone mid-taunt. :P ) joeplus is already pretty lethal and the regular peeps were happy to embarrass me as usual. I hadn't played in ages (being distracted with other games) so it was good to get back in a lobby. :)

No one has a dragon kick motion DP in TS do they? Mate I played Fei Long for years in Alpha 3 (at a very low level) and was left wanting when Double Impact came out, but 3 was about breaking away wasn't it it? Being different.

I play Dudley in TS and IV (at a low level) because I like him and his moves along with a bit of dry ASS Fei Long, purely for the memories. If you're sticking with TS you just need to pick someone else I think.

Yeah I don't plan to stick to TS because I'm so bad at it without Fei Long. I bought it, as I said earlier in the thread, because I was sick and everyone is always talking about it but I can't get into it at all, partly because of there being no Fei Long but about three Fei Long style characters. But they are all over the place. Yang can do rikkas and can close distance. His brother can do a wake up kick attack, although it's a bit weird. Elena has the unusual animations that throws people off. But I guess Fei Long only has all these things.

Like it was said, it was the game that planned to mix things up so there isn't much firm ground, but to be a heathen, I like Street Fighter IV much much more.

Played an 8500BP Adon online as Dan just now and, despite the BP, there was little in the way of links or combos at all from him. Didn't stop him nearly destroying me with nothing but Jaguar Wall kicks and the axe kick one, with the occasional standing hard kick (focus smashin' 2 hits) and wakeup jaguar dragon kick thing. He really is a difficult character to deal with.

I had some success against the random wall dive kicks with Dan's standing mp to beat it out, but considering the tiny damage that nets me compared to how much I risk, and the combo-able EX wall dive messing up the timing of it, I'm not sure that's the best option. KRK leaves me open to the deliberate mid-screen wall dive bait. Ended up beating him by constantly blocking and backdashing those dives until he learnt he'd get a free lk.jaguar kick to catch the backdash and went for the dives more often. So I blocked both the dive and the kick, and punished with a decent enough combo to make him back off, then try to bait me with more mid-screen wall dives... which he didn't realise Dan's Ultra 1 woud catch. Yahoo!

Still, dropped back down to about 4700 BP with Dan again, because everyone is too good, haha.

This thread was on page 2 so I thought I'd fix that. :P

As well as the rllmuk lobbies I found a bit of time in the weekend to run some public sessions and record some stuff for YouTube but nothing amazing. I'll hopefully be getting a PS Vita in the post in a couple of days so I might have to re-learn Marvel 3 whilst I'm away from the 360. :( I'll still be keeping an eye on this thread if anyone's up for Weekday Evening Fighter though. :D

Just jumped on ranked before my dinner and while I only won two I pretty much held my own, except against a terrifying Oni. Nice to see you can sometimes get a good connection to Euro-folks. I wonder what the German is for Flowchart Ken (baited his Shoryuken so many times, feels good man)

I get solid connections to a lot of Europe, had plenty of good matches with players from France, Spain, Germany, Belgium (!) and Scandinavia. It's a shame you can't set search region to Europe though, it's both annoying and a little sad having to refuse red-bar matches from Americans or Japanese players who you then get matched up with again 20 seconds later. Especially when they're readying up, either through sheer desparation or ignorance.

I played UK Rayne's strong Rufus as Dan the other night in his favoured Best of Five format and there were some taunts to be had and I did a few combos into crouching taunt and so on. He used Rufus' "I'm so cool!" taunt, which is my favourite. Ended up losing after making some stupid mistakes and being generally outplayed, but I didn't get a reply to my good game message. Sadness.

I keep getting nice messages about my Dan whether I win or lose now, which is lovely.

UK Rayne's the guy from my work who keeps beating me horribly, FYI. I'm glad he taunted you, he only ever hits me out of them.

Sure you sussed it out, but for future reference he appears to open every single round with the df.MK roll thingy.

Also I got some Quarrel lovemail after bussing up a guy on a USB keyboard, looked like I was about to lose but won a 6v8 somehow and just steamrollered him from there. I really, really like Quarrel, apart from the bizarre menu screen lag which appears to be getting worse.

Currently sat in my preferred pub for both drinks and running Rock Club London events enjoying a quiet pint. Ran the idea of a Fighting game tournament past him and he is entirely up for the idea ('... On the proviso that you do a Mario Kart Tournament at some point' which sounds like a fun idea tbh). Will work out more details, but it probably would be on a Sunday afternoon, and there might be prizes in the offing. Nothing huge... But possibly something. Some people showed interest before, is it still there?

I'm so far from London. So far.

Just got Dan back up to over 5000bp and into the top 100 Dans again by making sure i only played people with more BP than me and also by making sure I didn't lose a match. Not that I didn't nearly throw a few away by doing FADC into crouching taunt. Well worth it.
