Dear god in heaven that was brilliant. Thought I was going to crack about half a dozen times but having those two commentating and knowing people were watching rather steeled the old resolve. Was so disappointed that super didn't hit because I had it planned and did everything right. Soon as I did the cancel I knew it wasn't going to hit.

I was checking the thread between matches. Joffo, the ex Tatsu suggestion helped a lot.

Anyway, hometime! Great way to round off the show.

I've just done a lil' crop and zoom in OBS of my original recording - despite being put through two editors it still looks okay (well, as good as a stream recording can look on my connection) so I've updated my post with the new video; if it's not showing yet it might still be processing. My original recording's still here if you want smaller, less fuzzy hype.

I couldn't have hoped to witness a better, more nail-biting final game! Two of my closest just had their first child last week, and still, I don't think I've ever been more proud of one of my friends. Bravo sir!

Nate really Stepped up to the challenge and Kicked into top gear, he clearly had a Target in mind. The first match was more Free than two trial issues of Edge on iPad, and in the semi-final he Read that Gief like a Magazine. To Review the match against Dudley, he always tried to Press his advantage and didn't just Copy the online Ken tactics. The Time Extend footsies in that final round were incredibly Hype, and he eventually asserted Editorial Control. I guess playing with rllmukers was The Making Of a champion. Column, Subscription, Glossy Paper, Future Publishing.

Beautiful.

Just watched it back. Man I did so many step kicks. I had Capy's Nathan Vella in support, he knows his onions and we immediately identified the guy's abundance of focus, his reliance on hard reads and his lack of anti-airs, the latter of which I didn't really do enough with, but I did enough to deal with the first two and got away with it. Amazing the difference it makes being able to watch the guy you're playing next. If you could do that in ranked I'd have much higher PP.

I expect they'll put the whole thing on YouTube in due course. If not I have a capcomfighters sub so I'll fraps the archive when I get back.

Just to get back on topic, I reinstalled Super Hexagon on my phone. I have now completed Hexagon, Hexagoner, and Hyper Hexagon. I've got close on Hexagonest and Hyper Hexagoner, I know I'll get them but whenever I hit a new best time I instantly crack and die. Hyper Hexagonest will possibly be a bridge too far.

Research. Or me just playing around with picture-in-picture again. Small video shows delayed wakeup, outer one shows no delayed wakeup. Even then I think I messed up my timing. :P On the other hand, the Sagat that does the delayed wakeup looks like he hits the ground first, so without the delayed wakeup you'd expect them to get up first, so it's an even better demonstration than I originally planned. YES.
