More Decapre thoughts:

cr.mk x Hands is a pain in the ass and super important to her game. Remap the top right button on your stick though, and you can just piano in right to left:

mk, hp, mp, lp then tap whatever strength of hands you want to come out.

I believe it's between 8pm and 9pm tomorrow our time. Crushingly I will miss it due to playing football so I pray to the gods that it's archived somewhere.

I hope Nathan comes back with sponsorship.

Soooo, just before the opening World Cup match. What an evening of competitive action!

Must be 1.5m by now.

I did not go to gootecks' apartment. He never DMed his address like he said he would. I may try and get round there tonight as I have no plans, but we'll see.

Last night I met a very pissed off combofiend (manning a single 360 Ultra setup with pads instead of sticks in a dark corner of the Microsoft booth) who was, as you'd expect, an absolute delight. Apparently the main threat at this tournament is an IGN guy who plays Dudley, of whom I am terrified. He gave me some pointers. Also promised to put the two of us at opposite ends of the bracket.

Then I met Keits, who I did not know is now basically leading development on Killer Instinct, which is quite amazing. He's the nicest man. He was with Jebailey who also works at Iron Galaxy and said nice things about Edge.

Left the booth and walked to meet a friend with dinner. Bumped into Justin Wong and K-Brad. Shook hands.

I was going to queue up for Sunset Overdrive but saw a Volgarr setup and that was the end of that. I am quite sure I am doing e3 airquotes-wrong but I am having an excellent time.

Tournament is 11am tomorrow so 7-8 UK time. Commentators will be Combofiend and Mike Ross. Sake.

Having some excellent games of pass the stick with ghost against infexious's Hugo. He is playing the character in his signature footsies heavy style and it is both fun and scary to fight against. He hasn't had a win over our mains yet but none of our wins have been anywhere near free either. Real Streetfightin'.

In other news, I'll be around for bit from 17:30 ish again. Missed Alistarr on Monday but did play a hell of a lot of Ranked. Dunno why it used to be such a scary thing.

1300 BP so far and still no rage mail. On top of 1900 in the previous version with no rage mail.

Guys... what am I doing wrong?

This match, and grapplers in General are really proving to be the hardest for my Decapre. I'm getting away with murder for now, but as soon as people realise lp stabbyhands is -3 on block...

Nate: do not throw a fireball against ultra 1 Dudley in USF4. Unless you're going to do that infuriating fireball FADC thing. Good luck!

Also here is the advice I wish I'd understood before my first public street fighter outing: don't be afraid to disrespect a man just because you have an audience. You only tone down the disrespectful play after they hurt you for it, not before. Nobody wants to be that scrub mashing DP on wakeup in front of a crowd, so be mindful of that - mash DP on your wakeup when you feel like it and throwverhead those cautious scared-of-looking-like-a-scrub fools until they realise blocking isn't safe either.

I have officially cried off of playing football tonight in order watch Nate slay all comers on stream.

Mike Ross and Combofiend on commentary was the straw that broke Camel's extremely tall back.

I'm assuming Nathan is Kenning? I hope to see the rllmuk pink cowboy costume in full effect.
