Thanks for the invite, Mr. Donut! Sorry for not joining, I haven't got notifications turned on for some reason.

I've had a play around with Hugo and he is super fun. My only reservation at the moment is that it seems VERY easy for the inputs to give you a move you don't want. For instance, claps on the P1 side gives me his SPD quite often and I have got Meat Squasher instead of his Ultra Throw - and vice versa - fairly frequently.

Anyway, I played one fight each against Revival, Donut and DC, confirmed that my connection was terrible and retreated to the shadowy dungeons of training mode and SRK before going to be at 10 like a good child. Which happily means I'm awake now and available most of the day if anyone wants to do some fighting.

Cheers for the poison stuff spuckuk. Been hitting the lab hard and have some nice tings now.

I really like cr. fierce xx medium dp -> fadc -> overhead to hop the corpse instead of juggling as it's lovely and ambiguous if they quick rise.

In the corner I've spent too much time practising jump roundhouse -> close medium punch -> cr. fierce xx medium fireball -> FADC - > close medium punch - > cr. fierce xx medium fireball -> FADC -> close medium punch -> cr. fierce xx rekkas.

Lots of lovely resets and stuff from the EX rekka ender and from dp fadc.

Will get to work on playing her properly soon but it's hard to get away from Rose at the moment.

I wonder how much this does, if possible?

I am jumping in shortly. Would prefer a smaller lobby if poss as I am supposed to be doing this for work so can't really spend all day at the back of a long queue.

Me and joffocakes both appear to be online. 3 man training session? I'll get a pot of tea on.

If you do Hugo's little hop kick from max range you can link it into a cr.lp and then into his Super. He's also got some fun red focus cancels off his claps although I'm not sure it justifies the metre considering how much damage he can do without expending any of it but they look neat. HP Clap, MP Clap xx RFADC, Ultra Throw, Clap, Backbreaker/Ultra II is dirty. As is doing his Meat Squasher after the Red Focus Attack instead to get the corner harassment going. In fact, I've seen a lot of Hugo players punishing after a focus crumple with the Ultra Throw but I'm thinking dashing forward and using the Meat Squasher for less damage might end up being the go-to thing as it makes up for the damage with the fact that you've got guaranteed corner pressure wherever you land it.

Amazing all-morning lobby with Joffo, Alistarr and eventually Igmond T Ermine. I've had this game since last week but I learnt more this morning than I did from every other session combined.

I don't think Decapre is especially viable. Those teleport mixups aren't especially mixuppy and the followup potential is pretty limited. She doesn't have much in the way of combos either. I thought she still had a chance when Hands looked safe but I punished it with a Ken uppercut so it's clearly not, though the pushback on block means she's safe from jabs etc. No doubt I'll be proven wrong by much better players than I but currently I don't see the point in her in a game where Cammy exists.

Rolento, however! Crumbs. EX Rekka into Ultra 1 has to be the most braindead Ultra setup since Rufus' entire moveset, much to Alistarr's delightful frustration. (Welcome to everyone else's world, old stick.) Damage off j.HK, s.HK, cr.MK x Rekkas was insane too. Feels a lot heavier than in SFXT, slower and more deliberate, albeit with the same level of bullshit (of which I need to learn more). s.HK is a good far anti-air, s.HP is a great poke that hits twice if they're close enough. Liking him a lot.

Going to have some lunch, try out some bits with the other characters in Training mode because SRK's forums are now gloriously full of combos, then I'll be back on for more. Might have a meeting or two later on but apart from that I'll be playing Street Fighter. This job rarely feels like work but today is something else entirely.

I played with a few of the character last night and quite liked Decapre, but as usual I just went back to the cooking man, who looks absolutely ridiculous next to Hugo :)

Thanks to Curtis and Qazi for a few first day games.

Spuckuck, I did your combo just now. You have to use jab fireball as the pushback from the normals stops the medium one from connecting.

So: jump roundhouse -> close standing mp -> cr. fierce xx jab fireball -> red focus crumple -> ultra 2 does 507 damage.

Unfortunately the close MP whiffs on crouchers though, so it's a bit situational!
