I need a small to smaller jack for my headphones to go into the Qanba. Anyone else have one and can advise?

You need one with three black divider rings on its jack if you have a built-in mic. Namely 4-pole, 4-conductor or TRRS (all the same).

Good games :-) some scary rounds in there from your Dudley! After you left we switched over to 3S and Qazimod parried all the things and beat me to death with a variety of characters, which was an excellent way to spend an evening.

I'd have loved to have joined that but it wasn't to be, sadly. Thanks though chaps, really enjoyed it. My head hurts.

Yessss :D The Remy SA1 parry made me happy: I know stuff gets autoparried if it doesn't have the frames (or something) and I know my fireball stopped some projectiles but I rarely protect myself from the whole thing in an actual match against real people. There were loads of other great matches and we were trading wins all over the place. As much as I like AE, 3S is great at delivering instant hype.

Glad to see I was right in my assumption that lowering the hitbox of GHK would mean you could connect two against smaller characters in the corner. Awesomenauts!

So Hugo's EX Lariat being infinite armour; is that something that's changed since Ultra's arcade release? Because I'm sure I saw it get beaten in that notorious Dhalsim 2-hit mk video. I don't think Dhalsim needs to lose that if Hugo can power right through.

So it's 4th for us, right? Anyone gonna be on all day?

A week on Wednesday. Neither Mega man nor Sonic who is a Hedgehog are in it.

Cammy & Chun-Li are enough where Street Fighter is concerned. ;)

And the ever so boring Ryu and his entire family of clones, of course.

I still think the two hit MK was a bit too generous. I like all the other buffs he's even given and he definitely needed improving, but that buff just made his winning match ups even stronger rather than doing anything about his bad ones. I think it's reasonable for Bison, for example, to try the occasional focus dash through errant sim limbs. It's far from a foolproof way in against a top sim player anyway.

That said, it might have helped in the Hakan match up, which I think is worse than Blanka/Hawk.

What would help poor 'sim in SFIV then? It seems fair enough that he should suffer when an opponent manages to get in on him since his strength is in keeping them out but some characters just utterly decimate him once they've got him knocked down.

I'd really like him to have more uses for his drills too. I do love a cheeky wee drill-usin' Dhalsim player.

Oh, is this post-EX Yoga Flame juggle new? That might lead to some fun nonsense mixups?

Yes that's new. Looks similar to what you can do in SFxT in the corner. IIRC you could cancel headbutt into light flame, s.b.lk then ultra or something. God it's been so long and my memory is terrible.

I think the extra damage on ex yoga blast is great. Delayed wake up is a big buff for him too. If the buff to LK blast makes it useful then that'd be great as well. The other little damage buffs are good too. The one saving grace he has against Yun is that Yun doesn't take hits very well, so any improvement on that front is welcome.

I think his biggest problem is that he's just a character design that was never meant to deal with dive kicks and other stuff that breaks the rules of SF2 space control. As you say, it's fair enough that people can maul him when they get in, but with Rufus, Cammy and Yun it's more that none of his tools can keep them out with any consistency.

I would definitely like his drills to be better though. FChamp developed the idea of using them against Viper to deal with her weird approach angles and to stay mobile, so it'd be nice if they were faster or safer to help with dive kicks as well.

Ryu's less boring than Cammy, surely? I do enjoy watching Chun Li but probably for quite different reasons from you.

Ryu is like 2D Mario games, except still tried and true rather then growingly crap with age. But play him enough in any game (alpha3/cVSs1 in my case) and you just can't take more Ryu, it's the same old thing in a million skins. I should probably get good with Dan for laughs, though.

Didn't play Cammy until 4 (bless my MD copy of championship edition) so she's still plenty fresh to me. Feels tactical and I feel in control, though sure with enough play you can manage that with any character. Also add style and Britishness, of course.

I'd be interested in seeing how those matchups worked out if his ultra 1 wasn't entirely useless as a wakeup option. You could carry on going in as a general rule but he'd have a point at which he could then just resets the situation once in the middle of the round and you have to start again. It might be too good against some characters, though.

He can also do something like ex flame, then hit them with a normal and vilely teleport away, as is his way. This way he gets more damage and positioning. But yes the 2 hit mk was something that wouldn't help him where he needed it, it was a relatively ill thought out buff. Also hugo's infinite armour is wild. Maybe too wild? Or not wild enough? I really doubt this will be the last balance update anyway.

Seems like Capcom are trying to do their best at making Hugo as much like his 3S iteration in a game without a parry system with all his armour privileges. I just hope it doesn't turn him into a brain dead character.

Also, with a week to go my five-year-old original TE stick appears to have broken. :( The hk button doesn't appear to be working at all except for the odd occasion. I'm going to open it up and see if perhaps something just came loose. It has certainly been worth the money I spent on it all those years ago.

Assassins Fist. The second best on screen iteration of Akuma. Certainly the most in-depth.

The first best is his (admittedly brief) appearance in Street Fighter Alpha. The palm prints in the wooden training dummies. So intimidating.

Assassins Fist is nearly as good as series one of Mortal Kombat Legacy. And better than series two.

Why can't Hollywood be this good?
