SCR top 32 stuff (I haven't watched top 8 yet):

Knuckledu vs Infiltration - ultra 2 vs ex air fireball to trade massively in Guile's favour was a crucial and great thing to do. Also really interesting to see Guile dashing in under air fireballs to punish with sweep which made a huge difference. Great play all round.

Snake Eyez vs Jayce - crazy to see two huge adjustments, one on the part of each player, and such a close finish. The middle game and the last round almost looked like they came from two different sets because the wheel of options had moved round so many steps so quickly.

iPeru vs Wao - Wao just pressing buttons and everything hitting. Mike and James kept saying that nobody has ever seen that matchup before so who knows how it goes - they need to be watching those SFO streams! It happened twice on Sunday between Profluke and OMH, once in winners and then again in losers.

Also: oh man, did anyone watch anything from the french tournament that also happened this weekend? I idly read a bunch of the results on the below page and it seems like it must have been a great event too:

(Knowing how much he likes a team tournament, JLM in particular should probably just go seek out the 10v10 footage rather than reading the results log).

Thanks folks, the puns are everything I could have hoped for. I figured here was definitely the most relevant place to post about it, of course.

Celebrating with fancy cider and SCR Top 32, loads of good moments already. Also watched that WNF vs NorCal match, amazing scenes.

Re: the third point, I was thinking that! Someone needs to tweet James Chen.

Nuckledu vs Infiltration was intense and I literally cheered at the end. Also I kind of thought Wao looked like a knobhead for a while, with his wild play and continual laughter with his team, but he always seemed to give a sincere GG after the matches so I'll give him the benefit of the doubt and say he just loves life.

Hope the leveluplive stream archive is as semi-reliable as the second channel has been so I can go in for top 8.

Man, this latest update sounds like a massive clusterfuck in the quest for balance
Not only are they coming in with a re-balance, new characters, new mechanics but they're throwing all the old shit into the mix too!

This could very well turn out to be the most broken version of all!

I thought that initially when I saw the trailer, I was thinking it was going to be like SFII Anniversary Edition where there will always be some cock that picks SFII Ken or Guile or CE Bison when you've got the perfectly GOD LIKE Super Turbo characters to choose from. Although...I can't remember if you could do the same online...I actually can't FADCing remember. :unsure: But I know I was raging about COCKS using the dirt versions of the characters all the time in Ranked.

Hmmm. This sounds better. I think...

UPDATE: Capcom’s USFIV blog has a bit more on Edition Select. The feature is exclusive to the home versions of USFIV and is not compatible with online modes.

But then...it still would've been fun to have it as an option in Endless Battles and definately not ranked. Fucking hell SFIV Ranked Matches were brutal against Flow Chart Kens and Dirt Sagats. Blanka and Gief were pretty beast from what I can remember from painful memories.

Glad it will be out soon, would love it to come out on XBONE or PS4, but I will have no problem keeping the 360 set up for PERMANANTLY once this lands. COS AT THE END OF THE DAY...IT'S...

SCR, no spoilers: I like the parents holding up their little girl who's drinking her milkshake and enjoying the vibe. Literally a million times more effort has gone into that than a sign saying "PACK IT UP".

Well, that was amazing (goes back to read all the spoilers in this thread)

I feel hugely pleased for K-Brad. He seems like the best guy.

I jotted down a few things I loved with a biro while I was watching the matches, but right now I need to go to bed.
