Board Game Hut have a discount code, BGP5 at the moment. They also have just received stock of the excellent Watergate which comes in at £30.39 delivered with the code making it the cheapest place I can find.

Be quick, Watergate sold out super fast last printing.

Completely unaware of this game, but loved twilight struggle (with no time to play it) - one tom vasel video later and I'm £30.39 poorer! Thanks!

Nusfjord is available for cheaps on Chaos Cards again at £16.95.

It's one of Uwe Rosenberg's smaller games and I really like this one as a quick, simple engine building game. Well worth picking up at that price.

Dark Star games have yet another X-Wing sale on. The Slave 1 expansion is again down to less than half price and also the Punishing One expansion (Dengar’s ship) is down to under fifteen quid, which is at least half-price.

Building up my Scum & Villainy fleet nicely now.

They look like good offers. I have been thinking about getting into X-Wing for a while now. Would my 0 year old be able to play it do you think?

Whats a good starting set up?  Starter setx2 or starter set and a few other ships?

Presuming 10 year old? It would be a big ask for an unborn child.  I haven't played the 2nd edition yet, but unless they've streamlined it the basic game is quite straight forward mechanically. However there's a lot of second-guessing and trying to outwit your opponent with the maneuver dial.  It also gets quite a bit more complicated when you start running squadrons at higher point costs with all of the extra stats, ship and pilot abilities to remember.  I would think it's a bit much.

You could definitely strip it back a bit and play without upgrades etc. at first. Just get used to flying the ships and attacking with them. Add stuff as your 10 y/o becomes comfortable. I'd say that would be easily manageable.
