As per this thread on BGG: something weird has been going on with the price of Concordia on Amazon over the past week or so, in that for short periods of time (15 minutes or so), it randomly plummets to around £15-16, then goes back up to full price again. If you check regularly, and are quick off the mark, you might be able to snag a bargain.

It's apparently legit – people have been receiving their copies, and they're not counterfeit.

My Concordia arrived today!  :D Was slightly alarmed when it looked a bit like it might be in German (which is OK for me, I have not that much German but with a laser focus on board game vocab, but my few potential opponents might not be so happy), but turns out it has cards for both English and German in the box, which I've never seen before. :)

I notice it's "not currently available" on Amazon...

Of course, now it'll sit on the shelf with all the other games I have no time to play, but at least since I opened it to check the language this one isn't shrink-wrapped , and it was a bargain :rolleyes::rolleyes:

There seem to be a few decent deals on Amazon UK at the moment, including Lords of Xidit for a tenner, Odin's Ravens for half price, Dropmix down to 23 quid.

Can't find a deals page that ties them together, but might be worth a rummage for anyone in need of some Christmas presents :)

I've bought a couple of bits on Amazon via the seller Dealberry recently at decent prices.

Magic the Gathering: Arena of the Planeswalkers for a tenner:

In the name of Odin for £16.99:

The few impressions I've seen of this look pretty positive.

I also got Carpe Diem on a flash sale from Amazon.de for £25 thanks to the BGG deals forum. Certainly seems value for money based on a quick look through the contents.

Abracadawhat is a pretty fun deduction game. One of those where you can see everyone else's hand but not your own and have to make deductions about what you are holding. You try to play your pieces out without making a mistake and trying to play a piece that you don't own. It's got nice pieces and is worth the £10 that it's going for in The Works.

I picked up base game Carcassonne today for £8 in Tesco. Looks like they were stocking some board games over Xmas and are now clearing them out.

Travelling man has an extra 25% off their current sale prices. I just got Terra Mystica, Citrus and Kashgar: Merchants of the spice road for a total of £72.

Very happy with that little lot. Kashgar is a present. I've already got it and it's a lovely clever card game.

Citrus is a really nice tile laying, pseudo area control game - played it a load with my wife when it first came out.

A couple of bargains in Travelling Man, Newcastle. They've got Crown of Emara in stock for £36.99 which is a great price for a lovely game. They also had some of the original printing of Camel Up for £24.99, you can still get the matching expansion on Amazon for £6.99 which makes a total bargain for the complete Camel Up experience.
