Not sure if this is the most appropriate thread. Gameslore are running a Trick or Treat lottery-style sale. You can enter for a fiver or tenner (plus postage) and they'll send you a mystery game with an RRP of up to £20 or £50: "This might be a sale item we're struggling to sell, an end of line that will not shift or it might be a Kickstarter game that we happen to have around the warehouse or a full price game we've thrown in because after all, Trick or Treat!"

I'm in for a tenner for the craic, will let you know what horrible game I end up with!

Well my £10 box arrived and I got a cooy

of Mission Red Planet - light little area control game - looks fun and seems to be well rated on BGG. Happy with that especially as it plays up to 6 and we often struggle for games that play quickly with little downtime in the group at that count.

Thats awesome. I’ve just looked, and it’s £40 on Amazon.

I got The Captain is Dead, and one of the expansions for it. That's awesome, as I've actually had that on my BGG wishlist for ages.

Definitely 'treat' for me.

That's chuffin amazing! Lucky bugger!

Mine didn't come yesterday but should be there today. I'm sure it's going to be good! (Of the 4 posted here I'd be really happy with 2, and ok for a tenner for the other two)

I got ‘Rattle, Battle, Grab the Loot’, which I’ve never heard of, but the box is heavy so I think I’ve got my money’s worth...

Anyone played it?

Yes, the components are lovely, including a load of clear dice that are really pretty. It's quite a simple game, but good fun. Would work better with more than two players, I think. I seem to recall there was introductory scenario, and I didn't realise there were detailed instructions on the back of the cards, so keep that in mind. :)

@jonnyalpha  Is that the board game of VivaJava, or the dice game? I've played the dice game and it's well worth having a go of. I think the board game is supposed to be pretty good too. It's 3 players minimum though, so we've never got it.
