Can only add 2 things that were on my wishlist (and my wishlist is stuff I might take a punt on if cheap, compiled from here and various best-of-year lists):

Patricia Lockwood - Priestdaddy: US poet's witty memoir of growing up with an oddball conservative priest father.

Exciting Times - Naoise Dolan: Only on my radar because it's an Irish author, I think this one gets recommended in the same breath as Sally Rooney's output.

Ended up with 6 this month! One of which (The Sound of Being Human) I very nearly bought during my lunch break from Waterstones (I got Chopin's Piano instead)

The others I bought were Travellers in the Third Reich, Life in the Third Reich, A Brief History of Seven Killings and the two Star Wars books that were listed

Any crime podcast sickos might enjoy The Collector in the above list.

About a man who abducts a middle class art student and keeps her locked up because she is the ideal. He just wants to talk to her and get her to produce art.

Bit of a weird book but I tore through it. Maybe I’m a sicko.

I’ve been slowly re-reading them too - maybe one in every tenth book is a Discworld novel - and absolutely loving it. Just finished The Fifth Elephant. I’ve realised that there’s a point at which I’ve only read a number of them once or maybe twice, quite a number of years ago, so I don’t quite remember the whole story which is great.

If I take long enough, and with old age setting in, I’m hoping to be able to start over again at some point and have forgotten the key plot points again!

Me too.

I have bumped it to the next in line but only just started on Pileggi's 'Casino' so it'll be a little while. I am also a good way into listening to William Peter Blatty's amazing reading of The Exorcist so the kindle isn't getting as much attention as the pile of shame suggests it needs...

Ubik is incredible. Anyone who likes Sci-Fi at all should check it out.

I might grab those Ursula K. Le Guin books, need to read some of hers. Cheers!

Only things I bought were the 2nd Earthsea book and two books I didn’t include - Introduction to Philosophy (as the eldest is taking it next year) and a Stanley Tucci cook book.

I’ve read quite a few of the others - Bourdain being a stand out.

Hamnet is in the daily deal today and it's magnificent.

I have bought Lanny which is also in the deal, it's meant to be very good.

Lanny is terrific, like pretty much everything Max Porter does. He’s going to be one of those top tier authors whose oeuvre stands the test of time. I’m currently reading his new book Shy, which came out today.

I've had Hamnet for ages but never got round to it for some reason. I shall remedy that.

I loved Lanny.
