People seem to suggest that EA will have Criteron do another Burnout but do we want another Burnout?

Over a Road Rash revamp?

Why yes, a new Burnout would be very welcome indeed. Playing NEFS:HP I feel the need for some blistering eye-bleeding speed.

A few other games I've got hopes for:

Aliens: Colonial Marines

F.E.A.R. 3

Hitman 5

Thief 4 (Thi4f?) (confirmed in 2009 that it was in development so I'm hoping it'll have a 2011 release)

Oh god yes, especially Hitman 5 and Thief 4 - seems like I'm constantly forgetting my all-time faves in this thread! :lol: Colonial Marines sounds and looks all kinds of promising too, but I'm not too sure about FEAR3... the gameplay demo I saw at a trade show looked pretty good but - to be brutally honest - since it's not Monolith developing this time, the new uppity dev has a lot to live up to.

Indeed we do. I've enjoyed Alpha protocol immensely but that's not really a stealth game. Same with AC: Brotherhood, or the Alien campaign in AvP etc etc. I have been replaying Thief 3 with a widescreen hack on Steam in the past few weeks though, and it's nowhere near as bad as I remembered it. In fact, compared to some of the 'stealth-lite' games we get nowadays it's sometimes even positively brilliant :lol: Anyway, it's all well and good that I can choose to play it stealth in some games or build a stealth character in most decent rpgs, but it's just not the same. I want an all-new all-out pure stealth game asap, and I've pinned all my hopes on Thief 4 and Hitman 5 since Tenchu has seemingly died a horrible death due to the indescribably awful Tenchu 4 on Wii and PSP, and any new recent stealth IP like Velvet Assassin and Sniper Ghost Warrrior have been unanimously terrible and fundamentally broken, sadly.

We neeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeed stealth in 2011 :omg:

I've been trying to think of an interesting or not yet mentioned game to add to the list, but really Portal 2 and Child of Eden dominate everything else. Sequels to two of my favourite games of all time? YES PLEASE!

There will be plenty of stealth in Arkham City. I suppose you might class that as 'stealth lite' but I love it. If Deus Ex 3 is like the first one then you'll be able to play it properly stealthy. Deus Ex is one of the most memorable stealth games actually.

Did IO say Hitman 5 was coming in 2011 or 2012? Are we expecting another Assassin's Creed next year?

Oh I loved Arkham Asylum and I'm looking forward massively to Arkham City. But what I'm hoping for is a 100% stealth game on top of the Arkham and Deus Ex goodness. It's my favourite genre :D

I really hope we find out what Monolith are up to next year. It will have been two years since FEAR 2 was released come February and they aren't doing FEAR 3 (BOOO! HISSSS! :hmm: ) but they are working on a new IP apparently so can't wait and hope for some new information. (release date even please..... ? )

(*trying to remain calm and mature*) So my favourite Amiga game is being remade by one of my favourite developers? I'm going to be in gaming heaven! I guess it's too much to hope for Syndicate to be released next year. If it was then, along with Deus Ex, and (hopefully Thief 4) being released, 2011 would definitely beat this year & 2007 for games.

Seems to be the case, there has been rumors about it for ages but it seemed to get confirmed earlier this year with some secret copyright stuff

Thief's a 2012 release, I'd wager.

And I've a sneaky suspicion Deus Ex will get pushed back to winter. Some decent non-kinect Rare output would be great - which is probably about as likely as Daytona on XBLA showing up.

Just added Skyrim and Mass Effect 3. This is getting out of hand, bet 30-40% of these games get pushed back.

Particularly when Call Of Duty:First World War Edition gets scheduled for release on the very apt 11-11-11.

My first thought at all the November releases in the VGA thread was "yeah, right.."
