What does restoring them involve? I suppose I could get a small memory card for the european games if it's not too much hassle.

If Japanese text is a problem, you could probably just leave the card as a European one and buy digital? Some good deals roll around for sure, especially with PS+.

I'm not sure of the specifics of your situation other than being located in Japan, but it's one option. I think. Not something I've had to deal with, so it's just conjecture on my part.

It's quick and easy but becomes a ballache really. I used to do it back when the Vita didn't have PS Plus as I pretty much dedicated my time to one game at a time. Now though with much more to play the constant chopping and changing quickly did my head in so that I rarely buy US Vita stuff now. Though their PSP RPG sale saw me buy a few the other day, though I've yet to play them.

All you do is do a system restore from the options menu (remember to click no to format memory card). Machine will restart and you will have to enter PSN details and your WiFi stuff each and every time as this is saved to the machine, as is bookmarks from the browser. It used to also destroy you home layout and you had to reorganise all the icons and folders, but I think it might not do this anymore. It's much easier if you have two cards but you can do it with just one though you will need (well want) to make a backup to PC or PS3 before you do format the card. This is essential as only one PSN ID can reside on any one card at a time.

Pro tip- If you do the system restore it will attempt to make you watch the new owner video each and every time. Turn the machine off and on the second it starts, you won't have to view it on reboot. Also remember trophies from a foreign PSN won't allocate to your UK account if you're into them.

WHHHHYYYYYYYYY?????

Because he can just play mine and he wants a 3DS to play Mario (I think his friends at school play it, as he has banged on about one since moving to the new school).

I still have mine, it is going nowhere.

Mixing Japanese accounts is more complicated because you have to change the system language between Japanese and English every time. Besides, it's neither convenient nor actually desirable to go through all that hassle every time you decide to pay a game on a different account.

I think I may get a bigger memory card (got the 16 at the minute and already swapping things about) and keep the old one. Mainly so I can use the US store to get the proper speed Final Fantasy games. My god they're expensive, CEX seem to take a good bit off and whether or not it's new doesn't matter to me as much as games.

Am I right in thinking that each account will only be allowed to use one 30 day PS+ trial? Would be nice to have it on both regions (I've a US account on the PS3 as well) but 2 subs would be a bit much.

Edit : Actually just occurred to me to buy a cheap 4 or 8 gig one first to try it out.

re:Totori.

As a game, it's really a slice of life things which I love. I'll admit that I'd prefer no time limit at all so that things can be figured out and experimented with, but simply bumbling about is a hell of a lot of fun - and by Christ, it looks absolutely amazing. Jaw dropping stuff all round.

I reviewed it here, by the way.

I'm curious, what endings did you get?

After a lot of messing about and redoing a couple of months several times because I kept forgetting to do stuff before moving between Alanya/Arland (after already redoing 3 months) I did a big push today and got from the second month of year 2 to the middle of year 3. I'm well past having the required rank for year 4+. i'm currently looking good for all character endings except Chim as i'm having issues with Iksel's quest. I doubt I'll worry over the platinum, but I have a decent chance at it if I can get back on track for Iksel and Gerhard's quests. Both of those are issues over quality/hard to get items, luckily they aren't under strict time limits.

That said I'm two hours short of my completion time for Rorona and still have half of the in game time left so it's not simply more complicated, it's twice the size. I'm going to push on this week and get it finished within the next couple of weeks, theoretically by the end of next weekend.

Getting a US and Uk sub is something that is really down to personal taste, a lot of the games end up on both stores eventually. I only have a Jp one because they have a lot of Japan only games*, and I've had Pc Engine and Neo geo games as well.

*Largely text heavy ones, so not for everyone.

I've just found something quite annoying. On friday I bought MvC3 from the psn store for £30 because I couldn't find it in any shop. Then just browsing there I found a "value pack" that gives you the game for the Vita and PS3 for £15

Gutted. I think the PSN store could do a better job in highlighting this kind of stuff really.

I was looking at it pretty late last night (half asleep too) and reading it properly today it looks like I was wrong, it's just for all the alternative costumes etc on both systems. Was ready to phone them up in a rage accusing them of ripping me off! :)

UMvC3 seems hard to find on the ps3 for a decent price. The Vita controller feature looks interesting, could be a bit gimmicky but I would like to try it out. As far as I can tell it allows you to use the Vita as the main controller with the touch screen for special moves.

Taken the plunge and got myself one of these portable Hotline Miami machines.

Is it worth getting a screen protector? Any recommendations for a soft case like psp had?

If you're careful you probably won't damage the front screen but I've been finding mine has been getting a lot of finger prints and smudges mainly due to Unit 13 so you may want a screen protector just to be safe.

Case wise, I'm quite happy with this one.

Speaking of Unit 13, it's quite fun aint it? Can be a bit fiddly at times and needs a few more non boring maps but for shooting fun it's quite good.

Wednesday is Stealth Inc: A Clone In The Dark

I am under embargo, but I will suggest keeping a couple of quid aside for making a purchase.

Excellent news. Although I really should play ninja gaiden, VLR, LBP, and all the other games I have but haven't started yet

Yeah man, I'm loving it. I'm not massively keen on the timed missions because you have to run and be careful simultaneously so it becomes a bit trial and error. I'm getting 2 stars across the board pretty much but I don't mind, it's a welcome change from the other games we've seen on PS+ so far.

I got the absolute supreme ending like the walkthrough following stud that I am. Without a walkthrough, it's pretty much impossible as there's way, way too many unexplained triggers along the way. Took me something like 50-60 hours in total.
